I had an old filling fall out and a lot of sensitivity, with an international flight the next day. I couldn’t go to my usual dentist, so I called Center for Advanced Dentistry to schedule an emergency appointment and they got back to me before they even opened the next morning and fit me in! I was seen by Dr Jake. He filled in the cavity where the old filling fell out and adjusted my bite on the other side ( I had other cavities filled in recently as well, and the high bite was the cause of my sensitivity). The procedure went really smoothly - I felt no pain and he was super careful around the area where I had sensitivity. He explained everything so thoroughly, fixed all my issues, and I had plenty of time left to make my flight. 10/10 🙌

The staff is very impressive. From the moment I called for an appointment to the time I arrived I felt welcomed. Dr. Lim was cordial but a little bit rushed. He explained what the problem was, my options and suggested I monitor it and come back if there was anything more he could do. I was hoping for suggestions on how I could reduce the pain since there was no decisive action for him to take at this time. I felt he cut the consultation short lasting approximately 15-20 min and costing $150 simply because he clearly saw that there was no profit in this situation. Being in real estate when I was younger and closer to his age I would have reacted similarly. However I am not in the medical field where empathy and bedside manner is highly valued. Today the younger doctors don’t get it. If you are looking for “old school” manners this is not the place to go.

The staff got me in immediately, and Dr. Jacob DeVinney was exceptional from start to finish. He resolved my issue quickly, thoroughly, and with the perfect combination of professionalism and compassion. Dr. DeVinney is an outstanding addition to an already amazing dental team. His calm demeanor, clear communication, and genuine concern for my comfort made all the difference. I am truly grateful for the level of care I received and can’t recommend him and the staff highly enough!

The entire staff is excellent always friendly always helpful. I've had bad experiences with dentists in the past, but these doctors have a way of putting patients at ease. No reservations about giving a high recommendation. From the smiling faces at the front desk to being cared for in the dental chair, they make an experience I always disliked in the past totally doable.

⸻ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’ve been dealing with a dental implant problem for over two years — a loose cement-retained crown and screw. I went to several dentists and prosthodontists, but most either didn’t want to touch it or gave up quickly. Then I found Dr. Lim, and the experience was completely different. I’ve seen a lot of dentists in my lifetime, and he is one of the very best. Not only is he skilled and thorough, but he also has a sense of humor — rare in dentistry! He actually laughed at my jokes, which doesn’t usually happen out here in California. What should have been a quick half-hour procedure turned into more than two and a half hours of persistent, careful work. Dr. Lim never gave up, never complained, and he completed the repair beyond my expectations. Many dentists won’t even take on a case like mine because they didn’t place the implant originally, but Dr. Lim accepted the challenge without hesitation. He is both extremely competent and genuinely kind — qualities that are hard to find together. If you’re looking for a prosthodontist, no matter how far you need to travel, Dr. Lim is absolutely worth the trip. Trust me on that. ⸻
