They were nice efficient and moved everything quickly . They made our moved easy thank you !
DO NOT BOOK HERE! Especially if you’re military. I was quoted 3 men/3 hours. They came two hours past the scheduled window and showed up with 2 men. My move went to 5 hours. I had situate childcare, which cost me more since I’m a solo parent right now due to dad being deployed. To add to that, I helped tremendously to lessen the amount of hours I’d paid for. I went in to talk to the manager, who hid behind a wall and spoke through his receptionist. In the end the manager only gave $67 off, and felt that because he lowered the cost per hour with 2 people that all should be good. They have terrible customer Service, the manager is rude, Tanya lied about being a manager, but keep going back to talk to the actual manager. And while in the end I paid the same I would have with my original quote the experience of everything else was regarding their inability to properly schedule and send the correct people, impacted me extremely and they do not care. If you’re a military family then you understand! All this company cares about if getting those contracts. They don’t understand principal. However, the only good thing I do have to say are the two men that did show (Carlos and Huego) were immaculate! The rest of the employees and company 0 stars! Edit: The owner did not advise us to leave, we actually chose to leave because it was clear he would do nothing further for my negative experience. He LITERALLY said that he could do nothing, and that $67/10% (bc it’s the same thing) was all he can do. Mind you he only came out after we heard him multiple times on the other side of the wall talking to Tonya. For her to say what he said. Bc he was too busy for his customers. Which is completely unprofessional and rude from a business standpoint. So, I’m sure many can understand one’s frustration in that, on top of everything else. He isn’t the most pleasant and was rude himself. And if she’s a manager that whole encounter didn’t give manager. When I first asked for a manger she went to get one then came back and said I am a manager. So, make that make sense for future purposes. I’d strongly advise any military personal local or PCS move to not go with this business.
To give this business even a one star is being generous. I wish there was an option to take stars away. “Champion Movers”? More like scam movers. Hopefully this information can save someone the time money and hassle. What was intended to be a more convenient and helpful alternative to relocating ourselves has become a nightmare. The company has consistently failed to honor its contracts. They demonstrate a lack of concern for customer satisfaction. Their customer service is abysmal, and the owner, Laras, embodies the epitome of greed and selfishness. One of the most unpleasant individuals I have ever encountered. Despite the inconvenience caused, I was only compensated with 10% of the total cost, even though all of my obligations were fulfilled on our end within the contract. However, it is evident that they disregarded the contract, which is a legally binding document between both parties. This is the worst moving company I have ever encountered. If you are considering hiring a moving company, I strongly advise against this one. You will waste your money and encounter rude and unpleasant individuals who prioritize profit over customer satisfaction.
We recently used Champion Movers to move our belongings from storage in Las Vegas to Tennessee. The drivers in the field were absolutely amazing - Alejandro went above and beyond during pick up, and handled everything with care. The driver delivering our load (didn’t get his name) was extremely communicative, which we appreciated very much. Their professionalism is the only reason we’d ever consider using Champion Movers again. The office side of the experience was much less smooth. The initial booking with Trish was great; she was very helpful and communicative. But once the move was booked, we found ourselves having to repeatedly call the office to get paperwork updated and to confirm pickup timing. Communication was inconsistent, and we received different information from different staff members than what the drivers were telling us. Given the price of the service, we had hoped for a more seamless process overall. Their drivers in the field are excellent, but the office communication definitely needs improvement.
I strongly recommend against using this company. I had an incredibly disappointing and frustrating experience with Champion Movers during my recent move from Las Vegas to Houston. A representative came to my home in person, saw and documented everything that I was moving and gave me what they claimed was an exact estimate based on everything I was moving. However, on the actual day of pickup, they suddenly charged me $700 more than the original quote — despite nothing changing. As a matter of fact, I actually had sold a couple pieces of furniture between the time of the estimate and the time that they picked up my stuff. It felt like a bait-and-switch, and by that point, I didn’t have much choice but to go along with it. Two weeks later, my items finally arrived in Houston, not with Champion Movers, but with a completely different company name on the side of the truck. The driver told me his partner had bailed and that he’d be moving everything alone. I felt bad, so I ended up helping him unload all of my furniture, put it in the correct rooms, unpack items they had packed, clean up, and return their moving blankets. Keep in mind: I paid over $3,000 for a full-service move. Once my items were in the house, it was obvious that my belongings had been mishandled and poorly cared for. Several items — including my trashcan, dresser, coffee table, and TV stand — arrived completely broken and unusable. When I contacted the company, they of course told me they aren’t going to pay me or reimburse anything for all of the damages even though I paid for the room that the furniture took up on the truck to bring here and I am going to have to replace all of the items with my own money. Had I known half my furniture wasn’t even going to be usable upon arrival I would have just sold it and gotten money for it in Las Vegas and paid less for having a smaller move. Champion Movers was disorganized and completely failed to deliver the service I paid for. I strongly do not recommend using them for any move, especially long-distance. Save yourself the stress, the money, and the damage — hire someone else.
