This was a spur of the moment random visit after I saw the colorful icon pop up on Google maps while looking for another location. It was nice. I'm not really a museum person but I really liked the exhibits. I'm especially glad I wandered in before the current exhibitions rotated out, the main one was about the Japanese American internments in Gila River camps during WWII, but it leaves this weekend. It's free and air conditioned and the gift shop woman was really nice.
Thankful for the very informative and kind staff. The museum buildings are gorgeous and have lots of knowledge. Loved the interactive exhibits and overall extremely well done. Will definitely return there is always more to see, do and listen to (bring headphones) Could spend all day here. Free to explore but please donate and support the fantastic gift shop.
Stop in to this lil gem looking for things ro do. It's free and fun. It's not large but nice and the front desk staff lady was very nice. Speaking everyone when entering and suggested where to start.
I was pleasantly surprised to find out upon arrival this is a free museum. The Japanese internment camp display inside was absolutely heart breaking but so well put together and educational while still providing a heartfelt quality. The second area on Dr chandler and Frank Lloyd Wright lightened the mood while providing a rich history of the city and the two mens architectural marvels together. Some stairs were required but for the most part areas to sit and rest when accompanied by a grandparent or elderly parent were provided and available.
Small but solid museum. Part, most of it, is about the history of Chandler with some great displays about the people and businesses that started and helped grow the local community. The other side is rotating exhibits. We saw a photo collection about Alzheimer's. Free admission so I bought something from the gift shop to help support them. Recommended.
