I had an awesome experience at the Prop Shop thanks to Jason M. I came in to try out skates, and he walked me through all the pros and cons of different models without ever trying to upsell me. He focused on what made sense for my level of play and hockey situation, which I really appreciated. Jason was extremely knowledgeable, patient, and made the whole process comfortable. I left feeling confident in my decision, came back to buy the skates in store, and he even helped cook and mold them for the perfect fit. I am already looking forward to hitting pickup this weekend. I will definitely be returning because of the service he provided and honestly wish I knew about some of the discounts on last year’s models before buying gear online. Highly recommend working with Jason!
This ice skating rink is extremely small when that's all it is, not just in that the ice feels small with only a single rink, but the space with benches to put on your skates is very awkwardly set up and extremely cramped. This location gets far too busy for its size. The people working the front counter don't look like they want to be there, my partner and I were helped by someone wearing a tag that said "trainee" and no one was helping him at all, he just seemed completely glazed over at the counter and super confused when we told him exactly what we needed, which was only 1 set of rental skates because we already own 1 pair and we know exactly what style and size we want to rent. He seemed to just be going through the motions without any actual thoughts in the actions. After being handed the rental skates another employee asked us if we needed to check in, as if she was so obviously she didn't see us just get helped by the trainee standing next to her. The rental skates we were given were also some of the worse kept skates we've ever been given, they clearly do not take care of all their skates for rental. The laces were tattered and falling apart, making them a nightmare to lace, and the blades were painfully dull. The entire place kind of looked like it was falling apart and no one was taking care of it. The place was packed primarily with children/teens, seems like an okay place to take your kids, but as an adult this just wasn't the experience I was looking for. Try somewhere else if you're looking for a well kept facility...
First time with my family and my child enjoyed their time there! Quick and easy check in after utilizing online payment and waiver agreements. Highly recommend paying online before arriving on the weekends to avoid a long line/wait. There are drinks and snacks but no food as far as I was aware- it’s in the same parking lot as Sonic and Panda Express so eat before or after!
Basic ice rink. Better if you are skating, less flso for watching a game. I think the teams playing set the entrance fees. Bleachers are basic as is everything else. I keep having to remember that this was never supposed to be an arena for hockey games. At least the parking is free.
Fun and exciting place to take your family for skates on ice. You have to go at specific times and the cost was in my budget. After skating, grab a snack or something to drink. It was cold so I suggest dress for the temperature and also protection from the ice if you fall. I had a great time
