Cheryl and her team tailored both my wedding dress and my husband’s tux for our wedding. I’ve gone here for years for other reasons so I knew there’d be nobody else who could tailor my wedding dress! The staff is so helpful and kind and the tailors do an absolutely amazing job. My dress fit me perfectly and I felt amazing in it. My husband absolutely loved the fit of his tux. They were super accommodating with our timeline as well. Definitely recommend getting your wedding dress tailored here!!

I had my wedding dress altered at Cheryl Lofton by Ali, and he did a fantastic job. I bought a used dress and wanted to change the neckline. I was so worried about how it would turn out, but it was absolutely perfect. He also added a French bustle, which looked beautiful and made it possible for me to wear the dress for my reception. I would highly recommend working with Cheryl Lofton.

Huge thank you to Ali and team for a wonderful wedding dress alteration experience. Ali expertly adjusted the bust of my dress to my exact size, created a beautiful and easy French bustle, and added detachable shoulder straps. Cheryl Lofton made my dream dress perfect for me and were quick too!

This time last year, I came to Cheryl Lofton Tailoring with my wedding dress after being told by several other places the vision for my bustle wasn't possible. The team was supportive, enthusiastic and extremely talented in applying an invisible/ball gown bustle to a long train dress with delicate fabric. The bustle held beautifully for nearly the entire wedding night, including rain that weighed down the fabric on the stitches, and hours of dancing. I'm grateful to the work of Ali and Amber for making sure the length was perfect and the bustle was natural and unnoticeable. I would highly recommend this business to anyone looking for tailoring services in the DMV area!

Thank you so much Cheryl Lofton, and more specifically, Gale (I hope I’m spelling that correctly)! My experience there was nothing other than pleasant. Gale did such an amazing job with my sleeves and adding touches to make them blend more seamlessly, as well as tailoring the dress to fit my body so well and creating a beautiful bustle. I was genuinely nervous when I first received my dress from the retailer in the mail however Cheryl Lofton truly made my vision come to life. Thank you!
