Went out for breakfast/brunch with a friend. They don’t take reservations but we showed up at around 9:45am and were able to get a table with no wait. We both got teas to start us off while we waited for our food. I ordered the french toast and my friend got the eggs benny. My meal was absolutely delicious overall. The french toast came with 3 slices + a side, for which I chose a salad and also got some turkey bacon. The french toast on its own was already super filling—the fruit was fresh and the cinnamon crunch added a nice change in texture. I can’t remember the name of our server but she was kind. The atmosphere is also warm and friendly, with a unique interior. I was told that the building used to be a Chinese restaurant and that they went with sustainable decor by keeping most of the original fixtures, which I thought was really cool. I had a great time overall and would highly recommend! Note that because they don’t take reservations, it’s best to arrive a little bit earlier than you’d expect due to the possible wait (unless you come in early)!
Had breakfast here with two of my colleagues and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. They each got an egg Benedict type of dish, while I got the apple cinnamon french toast. The portions were large with very nice presentation, and the ingredients were very fresh. They had a lot of unique menu items that I hadn't seen before, and a very good selection of side dishes. I will definitely be back to try their food again!
First visit this weekend, I think it is very overrated to be honest. First of all, no reservations means lining up in the cold if you want to get in without waiting in the morning on the weekend. Thankfully we got there early enough but the food took a very long time to come out and then 1)my brussel sprouts were not fully cooked through and we're kind of hard and 2) eggs Benedict with fried chicken was kind of cold ? It definitely was sitting out for awhile cause why is my fried chicken luke warm. I saw a table of two that got seated, ate and then left before our table of 5 was served, and mind you everyone eho lined up at 9 am was seated pretty much at the same time. I dont know what took so long but it was not great. The server was decent, she was quick to refill our coffees at least. They moved into the old WonTon house so I thought it was funny that they still have some of the old decor but whatever I guess it is the "charm" they are going for. All in all quite expensive for breakfast and not overly impressive.
The best brunch my table has ever had. We continuously kept commenting on how amazing each of our meals were. We shared bites and they truly were so amazing. Everything was so flavourful and well constructed. There was a wait when we arrived but we got to explore the unique beautiful neighbourhood as we waited. The service was so quick and attentive. Our coffee was consistently topped up and hot. Can not recommend this place enough. Will definitely be returning.
Hubby and I decided to head to Chesterfield's Gastro Diner for a breakfast date on this specially warm fall day. The meal was well worth the half hour drive. By pure luck were seated within 5 minutes of arrival. Although the place was very busy, service was consistently excellent. The waitress suggested the Bird's Nest and the Jerk Benny which we enjoyed until the last bite. The eggs were perfectly poached and what can I say about the potatoes... They were perfect. This was a great experience and I encourage breakfast lovers to visit Chesterfield's.

Elevated comfort food in a charming, sustainable setting—where every bite feels like home.
