Roasted duck breast was amazing!!! Beef tips and risotto was fantastic as well. First time at Circo and it did not disappoint. Would absolutely recommend!! Service was excellent as well!

Our first (and likely only) visit to Circo was underwhelming. Not sure what they were thinking taking over the old Tanner’s spot in a strip mall as it lacks any sort of charm or character. The evening started on a high note thanks to our server, Faith, who was genuinely the highlight of the entire experience. She was attentive, warm, and professional and provided exactly the kind of service you hope for at a restaurant aiming for fine-dining status. The rest, however, fell short. The menu was uninspiring and it took some effort to find an appealing option. The food (the risotto) arrived looking unappetizing, with chunks of beef that seemed more like stew meat, and stringy mushrooms. The flavor and texture was not any better. For the premium prices on the menu, I expected dishes with finesse, depth, and some element of surprise. Instead, everything felt somewhat flat and unremarkable. It wasn’t for lack of effort—the team clearly tried—but the execution simply didn’t meet the expectations set by the image that they market. As far as ambience, Circo struggles to create anything much beyond the feel of the re-purposed sport bar in a strip mall that it is. There’s little in the way of atmosphere or design (though some effort was made) that transports you or makes the experience feel special. The space itself needs a serious overhaul to get the look that they are going for. In the end, Faith’s excellent service carried the evening, but the food and overall environment didn’t justify the cost. Circo clearly had high aspirations, but unfortunately it hasn’t yet found an identity that matches.

Really nice food and wine menu and fairly priced plus on atmosphere. Pictured is Dry Aged Beef Filet + Ricotta Tortellini. Not pictured is the Fontina & Caramelized Onion Arancini.

We decided to head to Circo after a long day at the zoo with some friends. We loved every plate and drink we were served. I have NEVER had better beef tips in MY WHOLE LIFE. Every dish was full of flavor and excellently plated. The drinks were wonderful and the service fantastic! Don’t forget to get dessert! (Please excuse the few bites taken before pictures were. The phone did not eat first.)

Absolutely loved everything about this place. The food was wonderful, the bread was some of the best I have ever had and the atmosphere is so chill. The only thing I didn't like about it is the location. I want it to be so much closer to central Omaha so I could visit again easier! Coming from Carter Lake area makes for quite the drive.
