The tour shows you a lot of different places and historical buildings all around Liverpool and the tour guide presents the tour really well and all the staff are really friendly

Book in advance. A hop on hop off bus is a good way to get to know a place. In Liverpool there was so much interest in it that it was sold out on our day one. We booked for day 2, both the city tour that stops at all major places of interest in the city, and the Beatles tour that goes further afield to visit homes of John, Paul, Ringo, Stu, George (whose neighbours blocked the route so we couldn’t go), Penny Lane and Strawberry Field. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and played great music related to the places we were visiting. The atmosphere was amazing for a bus full of Beatles fans and nostalgists. We stopped a few times to walk to a few places and take pictures. The combined ticket lasts for 2 days, but beware it’s not full 2 days, it’s 48h from booking, which should be made more clear on the company’s site. I’d recommend they make it 2 full days as 2 tours on one day is quite a lot of bus riding rather than exploring the great city of Liverpool and remembering all the great moments we all had with the great Beatles music.

We really enjoyed the Beatles tour as part of our City Explorer ticket. Our guide Joe was informative, witty and went out of his way to be helpful taking photos etc. A great way to see the haunts and learn more about the Fab Four. As part of our Golden ticket (also includes a trip on the ferry) we used the hop on, hop off bus to visit the sights. On one of our days we stayed onboard for the whole circuit...what a treat! Our guide Chris made it a real entertainment experience...facts and fun all the way round. Would thoroughly recommend

We did a day trip to Liverpool last week, myself my cousin and our respective mums. We don’t live far away but wanted to see the city as a tourist would, the city explorer experience didn’t disappoint. We did the ferry and open top bus and both were great. The online booking process was easy and the staff we encountered were lovely too. Shout out to the guide on our bus, sorry don’t remember his name but he was engaging knowledgeable and witty. I learnt things about the city I did not know and it appeared the foreign visitors onboard enjoyed him too. Would recommend using city explorer tours.

It was a fantastic and insightful tour about the Beatles, passing by many of their famous associated locations. We appreciated the stops at the iconic spots for photographs. The guide was excellent, very knowledgeable and entertaining, and I especially enjoyed his final performance. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Liverpool. It was one of the best bus tours we have ever been on.
