The Rahum Davagh concert was absolutely amazing! The vibe was definitely on point, the acoustics were top tier, and the performance was very entertaining. I truly enjoyed the show. We were seated fairly close to the stage, which was great, but the tables are way too close together. It was a very tight squeeze with little elbow room and not much space to walk between tables. Unfortunately, our waitress seemed overstimulated or overwhelmed. She forgot to take my husband’s order, as well as the order for another couple seated at our table. The biggest disappointment was the restrooms—they were atrocious and completely unacceptable. They clearly had not been cleaned between shows, which is not okay for a venue of this caliber. On a positive note, the food and wine were very good. I had the grilled chicken, apple, and brie sandwich, and it was excellent. Overall, great concert and atmosphere, but the restroom conditions really need serious improvement.
As others have stated, it's a great venue with mediocre, overpriced food, cramped seating, and slow table service. The balcony seats are a bit less cramped than the floor seats. We've sat in both areas for various shows. The balcony seats on the ends have the air conditioning blowing directly at you. The food prices are absurd for the quality. There's a $25 minimum per person purchase requirement. The servers in the balcony area weren't very attentive. Suggestions for improvement: 1) Increase spacing between the floor seats. 2) Small changes to the food quality would make a big impact (fresh cut fries, thicker burger patties, etc. ). 3) Put an air deflector on the ac vents above the end balcony tables. 4) Servers should be monitoring tables on a regular time schedule. 5) Allow people order their food and drinks in advance on the website. 6) Provide handicap parking and/or valet. It really is a great venue and there are a lot of great artists who play here. I think a few small changes would go a long way to improve the experience.
We had such a mixed experience here today. We came for the Beyonce drag show. First, the good! The drag queens were great and the vibe was awesome. They get five stars. The bad? Woof. Our server was probably the worst server I’ve ever had. She spent most of the time hanging out at the bar and ignoring her tables. The poor people next to us were there for OVER AN HOUR before she came to take their food order. We saw her once after the show started and even then we had to ask someone to grab her for us. We couldn’t even get refills, which is wild at a drag show. She was incredibly rude and short with all of the groups around us. At the end when we were paying our checks, a different server came and helped cash out our tables because we were all waiting so long. In fact, I think the group next to us dined and dashed because it was unclear that she was coming (vs the bill being tied to our tickets). That’s how long it took. It was the WORST service. Absolutely horrendous. I saw other servers hustling, so it sucks we got someone who very much couldn’t hide the fact that they didn’t want to be there. We ordered a meat and cheese tray. It was mediocre; not really enough food for the value nor good enough quality for the cost. I ordered a mocktail - apparently they got rid of all their mocktails and to no one’s surprise our server didn’t have any recommendations for alcohol free drinks except coffee. So I ordered a cold brew and cream and the cream never came. Cold brew was fine but the value was lacking as well. Wanted to love it, especially since the queens were so spectacular! It was horrendous and I can’t imagine we’ll ever come back, even for the queens. There are plenty of other drag show options in the region.
This was our first visit to the City Winery and we were there to see "Blasey does the Beatles" which was fantastic! Scott Blasey was awesome, as well as the band and back up singers. The winery & show area were both modern, clean & a great venue. We enjoyed the October Food Specials, which were delicious. We would highly recommend this place, and intend on coming back soon!
I came in here on a Best bites tasting event because I wouldn't have otherwise. I do not like wine and I really didn't know they had anything besides wine here so it was a very pleasant surprise when they brought out three. Really interesting. Dips a beet dip, a cream cheese and garlic, olive oil dip and a roasted red pepper dip. And they had fried pita bread that they provided with it I really like the red roasted pepper dip. The beet dip was way too bitter I I could not get behind it but still I could see how some people would like that and good offer. The cream cheese dip was also really really good and personally I like the red roasted pepper dip just a little bit more just barely but they gave a really strong showing. I definitely come back and check out their Mediterranean menu and see what else they have. I did sample the wine that they had. I'm not a wine person so it did not appeal to me, but I'm sure their wine is perfectly fine. I just do not like wine
