"Clever"Tech might seem like an overpromise, but far from it. A more accurate name for this business might be WizardTechs or MiracleWorkers. Here's the thing. If you own a relatively recent version MacBook Pro (mine is a 2020), you know that repairs can be very fragile. After attempting my own battery replacement, I saw some disturbing signs in my box including USB ports not working properly and some overheating issues. I even noticed one of my pins on the ribbon connector seemed a bit loose during my repair. But I had no way to fix it because these computer internals are almost like paper! I called Apple store and it was clear their recommendation would be a whole motherboard replacement for $1K. Realizing there might possibly be a better way, I called around. The only shop willing to work on it was CleverTechs. I spoke to Eduardo on the phone and he seemed to feel pretty clear what was wrong and that he could fix it. He even suggested a way to fix my board if indeed a pin was loose. True to form, Eduardo 100% fixed my box. He cleaned it inside and out, fixed a missing fan connector (that was causing my box to overheat) and soldered a whole new battery connector onto my board. All of this work cost me about $200-250, which was profoundly less than Apple's quote, and also a lot less wasteful. If you are desparate and afraid your box is toast (I was) you may have hope! Call these guys up. They are extremely skilled. I highly recommend CleverTech!
