Out of all of our wedding expenses, Colby was by far the best investment we made. If you’re looking for someone to capture love in all its forms, who champions the safety and dignity of all people, and who is overall a terrific human being, look no further. When my husband and I were looking for a wedding photographer, we wanted someone that could make us feel heard and comfortable. From the start, Colby took the time to get to know us not just as a couple, but as people. He asked thoughtful questions no one else did and held space for our anxieties and apprehensions. In particular, we appreciated how he respected and celebrated us as a same-sex couple, from the way he spoke to us to the way he posed us in pictures. Every interaction and choice he made felt intentional and affirming. There is a unique vulnerability when LGBTQ+ people celebrate themselves openly, and I believe Colby understands the importance of safety and comfort more than most people. The photos we received were stunning. He captured not only the big moments of joy, but also the tears and small, intimate moments of love. Truly, they are something we are proud to hang on our walls and are endlessly grateful to have for the rest of our lives. We will always be grateful to Colby for the way he made us feel and the way he honored our love.

I cannot recommend Colby enough!!! From our very first phone call, we knew he was the one. Not only does he take incredible photos, he is also a genuinely good person. We were searching, specifically, for a LGBTQ+ friendly photographer and Colby more than answered that call. He made us feel comfortable and supported throughout the whole process. In short, an incredible photographer, and even better person. If I could give him 6 stars out of 5, I would. Colby was beyond amazing to work with from our engagement shoot to the day after wedding series. He approaches this work in such an intentional, yet flexible and creative manner. Our engagement and wedding photos were in different states, spanning college campuses and mountain ranges; which Colby navigated seamlessly.
