College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving Southwest Fort Worth

First time using a local moving service. Dylan and Skyelar made the experience effortless from start to finish. They communicated well, were friendly, kind, thoughtful, humorous, and hard working!!! They were easy to talk to which quickly put me at ease and relieved a lot of stress I'd been feeling with the move. Highly recommend College HUNKS!!!

Update, almost 4 months later: WE HAVE YET TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE. We call and get the “oh we’ll have someone call you back” and then we NEVER, EVER hear a response. It has been 4 months of them failing to respond, failing to call back, and failing to reimburse us for this horrible experience. If you call the number that they leave in their Google reviews, they do not answer. DO NOT USE THESE MOVERS IF YOU VALUE YOUR FURNITURE OR ANY MODICUM OF DECENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!! ———————————————————————— This was quite honestly the strangest experience I have ever had with a service provider. We hired 2 movers for a job on July 5th. We wanted a sofa, dining table, dresser, washer/dryer, and bed moved from a third floor apartment down to our truck. The two movers showed up and started with the sofa which they wrapped in saran wrap. As they started down the stairs, we could hear the more senior of the movers yelling at the other. There really isn't any other word for it than verbal abuse. He used slurs, was cussing, and threatened to fire the other mover. We heard a loud noise and the more senior mover again began yelling, cussing, and groaning. We go out to see what is going on and the other mover tells us that they had to pause our work clock and that they will continue in a bit. We then heard absolutely nothing else. The couch was left on the first floor landing and the movers disappeared for over half an hour. Eventually another mover showed up and the job continued as normal. We were told absolutely nothing in regards to what happened. The next day, when we opened up the moving truck, we found that the upholstery on the sofa had been destroyed. There was not a single section of the couch that did not receive damage. Not a single word was said to us about any damage incurred. Of course, I immediately filed a claim with the business, but we have spent the MONTH since the move attempting to get in contact with someone about how to receive compensation for the damage. We have gotten a crazy run around that seems endless at this point. The complete lack of professionalism shown by the mover, the damage incurred to our furniture, and the seeming inability of every single employee we have spoken to to do anything to help us resolve this issue makes me wish that I had never dealt with this business to begin with.

Had a ton of rotted old wooden siding that had to be removed from a recent remodel. Ty & Ashlie came over had no problem dealing with all the mess and nails. The process was quick and easy to work with. I’ll use them again for the next large haul away project.

We got some great service from Team Michael, or team Mike. They were fast, efficient, and helpful. A little expensive, a lot expensive, but we also needed some stuff taken out same day and it was about half a garage worth of junk so, it was kinda worth it. But all in all the team themselves did an amazing job, the price isn’t more of a management thing anyways. I cannot understate how good the team was. Polite, nice, fast and professional. If I ever need junk removed again I’m definitely going to reach out again.

Super disappointed. They took apart my bed frame, could not put it back together and left me with it in pieces. Screws were lost by them in the move and I was left at an apartment with no bed to sleep on. I had to go buy screws and tools the next day to figure out how to put it back together. I paid for experienced movers because I do not know how to build furniture and ended up having to build my bed frame myself after spending over 700 dollars on movers... My move was improperly quoted. It took three times the anticipated time and three times the price. I had 5 furniture items and 4 cardboard boxes. The boxes were moved all at once so that barely took any time. I was on the second floor and unfortunately the elevator was not operating at the time. However I still feel mislead because the quote I received was so far off the actual price, which feels very deceptive to be charged three times what you thought you would pay. One of the movers agreed in person to me that the quote was not accurate and should have been higher. Would have been nice to know that ahead of time wouldn't it? They also damaged the bed frame and chipped paint/wood in my apartment in multiple places. I have called the helpline countless times and still haven't found resolution since May. Finally their corporate helpline gave me two different managers phone numbers, but neither answered after several attempts over different days. Now I was able to finally get one on the phone and they referred me to an email helpline, but I've been waiting for a response now there as well after I have sent multiple emails over weeks of time. Please can I speak to someone to resolve this issue about my experience and the damages???
