I've been wanting to upholster the seating in the reception area of my office for 6 years and I finally chose Silviu to do my project because he specializes in commercial projects and gave me a reasonable price. I knew my project was difficult because you cannot remove the seating and all the work needs to be completed on site, so I needed to time it so that all the work could be done when I was closing the office down for a week. I reached out to Silviu about a month before I planned on closing the office down and gave him my timeline of when I wanted it done, and he told me that it should be possible to get the fabric ordered in time. This ended up not to be true and the project had to be completed later which ended up being disruptive to my schedule and business operations. Silviu gave me a verbal quote which he did honor, but he failed to give me a formal project proposal that was written. I've never done business with any contractor for a project and not have a written outline of what work would be covered and details and scope of project clearly outlined. I kept asking Silviu for this over and over again and he would promise he'd get it to me and then make an excuse about how his computer was down, so then I told him to just hand write me one. He told me to have a deposit check ready for him in exchange for the quote. I gave him the deposit check and then he said he'd get me the proposal but he didn't. As my seating area has an irregular shape, I asked him how he was going to design the cushions and where the seams would be. He said it was a good question and that he'd have to think about it and get back to me. He never did and now I hate where the seams are. During the process, I noticed that the channeling on the back cushions looked uneven. I also stated that I was unhappy with the finish work on the wood piece that he used to cover the top because it looked worse than what was there before. He chose a poor quality piece of plywood, didn’t sand it enough, and then painted over the rough edges. He told me that he bought the best quality piece of wood at home depot. I do a lot of finish work and DIY projects myself, and I know this not to be true. He assured me it would be better after he put another coat of paint. BS! Whenever I do wood projects, I make sure the wood feels extremely smooth to my bare hands before I coat it in paint. Paint cannot mask roughly finished wood. It would have been easier to correct the problem at that point in time. If I would have known that the quality of his carpentry on this very central and visible piece of wood would be so horrible, I would have insisted on doing it myself because I could have done a much better job. He kept trying to tell me that it was uneven because he didn't have a special CNC machine to laser cut the irregular shape. Even still, I could have used a jigsaw to cut a much more even curved line than he did. And any wavy edges, I would have spent more time sanding it. He just didn't want to put the time in and do a good job. When I brought up my concerns, he ignored me and continued to finish the work. The final result was extremely sloppy with so many imperfections everywhere. I understand that this job was difficult because he couldn't complete it at his shop, so I am willing to live with some imperfections, but it was just not at all what I had envisioned. There was a large 3" tear in the fabric hidden in between 2 of the channel cushions and he legit told me that he hoped I wouldn't notice. Overall, the cushions are all lumpy/wavy and the whole thing just looks C grade. In addition, there's tons of adhesive overspray onto the tile floor and all the white painted part underneath. I couldn't sleep for 2 nights after this and just want to cry everytime I look at it. I wish I could go back in time to how it looked before and never did this project with Silviu. He was a horrible communicator during this process and wouldn't respond for days. Extremely unprofessional.

Silviu and Tracie are top notch people. Professional, knowledgable, and experienced. It was an absolute pleasure to work with them. I contacted Commercial Seating Specialists via Yelp. Silviu got back in touch very quickly. He quoted covering the 6 chairs (please see photos) without delay and provided a very reasonable price. Soon after accepting his quote he was on our doorstep picking up the chairs. There was a slight snag due to an error in calculation on our part. but Silviu and Tracie were able to fix our mistake and continue to complete the job in an incredible time frame. Silviu had to work with the fabric we chose to correctly align it on the chairs, since unrecognized to us, there were faint stripes in the fabric we’d chosen. The finished chairs are nothing short of stunning. I love to show them off to our visitors. Silviu’s work is incredible. 13 year old chairs have a new lease on life. I cannot reccomend Commercial Seating Specialists enough. This company went above and beyond to ensure our happiness with the finished product. We are beyond thrilled with our chairs and are now looking around our house for other projects for which we can hire Silviu and Tracie again. I think it’s safe to say that we are very happy clients.
