Every time we have gone, we regret it but our son needs frequent haircuts and it’s easy enough to schedule. I know it’s not easy cutting a toddler’s hair, especially when we request “just a trim” and it turns into the most uneven, nerdy looking haircut. However, he loves TV now and barely moves his head so challenges should be minimum. This last hair cut was definitely the most uneven, choppiest cut by far. It’s okay. It’s going to grow back fast.

Our cut with Vanessa was a dream. It was our 16-month-old’s second haircut and he didn’t do great at the first one so we had low expectations. Vanessa did an amazing job with his hair. The cut was fast and efficient but she got the style exactly as we asked. They have TVs at every station and lollipops which help a lot too! We had a great experience and will be back next time we’re in town.

In African American communities, our hair is our currency! Add having special needs requirements to that equation and the search window for quality, kind, and affirming services grows even smaller….. but after fervent prayer, God blessed our family to find Cookie Cutters Sunset Valley. My son grew Freeform dreadlocks for 6 years before I inquired this haircut on a Monday. By that same early evening, Adrianna completed the cut we came for! She was experienced in cutting textured hair and showed patience & understanding towards my sons sensory sensitivities. For this being his first cut in his life, we are very pleased and plan to return to maintain his hair now that he knows his friend, Adrianna. Special shoutout for the environment keeping my youngest occupied lol! overall the service was done within 45 mins from the lobby wait to the check out process. I appreciate places like this more than words can describe 🙏🏾

Took my 9month old baby boy with Patricia. He did awesome, he was very calm. She was quick and gentle. Baby’s 1st haircuts also come with a little certificate.

My son is not a fan of hair cuts at all! I knew coming in would be a struggle for myself and the stylist. However Vanessa was so patient, so kind, so understanding, while my son, screamed, cried and yelled, she continued to be gentle and did her best to calm him. Thank you for making his 3rd birthday Photoshoot a memorable one! I am grateful. I absolutely plan on coming back to see Vanessa
