Today my 6 month old German shepherd just completed the manners course run by Karia in Loganholme. As a first time owner of a large breed dog, I highly recommend this course. It was very informative and Karia provided a lot of information and ways to deal with standard issues, such as biting and jumping etc. I’ve definitely learned the foundations and will continue working on them with my puppy. Karia was happy to answer any questions I had and provide advice and strategies unique to my dog. Throughout the classes if Karia noticed any adverse behaviours such as guarding, she would happily discuss behaviours and strategies that would help with the owners one on one. The location is very convenient with lots of parking. As we did the course in summer it did get a little hot at times, but Karia was great at monitoring the dogs, providing lots of water and even bought a paddle pool on the warmer days to cool the dogs off if needed. Thanks for such a great course Karia, we’ll see you in obedience soon 🙂
I've just finished the 5 week Obedience training course with my staffy Max. He is a rescue and has a few anxiety driven behavioural issues, and has never had obedience training before. As soon as I met our trainer Karia she made me feel so well supported and less overwhelmed with the training process. Everything was step by step, small class so if we needed one on one assistance it was easy to obtain and given tools to make training our pups so much easier. I'm so grateful we attended this course, it has led Max to becoming a better and well trained dog, and we're excited to attend more classes in future! Thank you Karia and Craig. A training! 🐶
We recently completed our puppy school and manners class with Nikki in Coomera and we couldn’t be happier! We have learnt so much and saw such a difference in Luna’s behaviour by implementing the small and big changes as recommended by Nikki’s teaching – even after the first class! Each week came with new challenges and lessons we needed to complete with Luna that helped to navigate the stages of puppyhood. Nikki was really clear and direct with any instructions, we were able to ask lots of questions, see examples given first hand and the email/text communication was amazing too (especially the wrap up emails sent at the start of the week!) plus you could see how much she cared for all the dogs. Couldn’t recommend these classes enough for anyone thinking of signing up 😊 we hope to be back for the foundational obedience in the coming months! 🐾
Nikki was AMAZING helping each of us with our own individual questions and ‘difficulties’ we were having at home with our puppies. She gave advice that made sense and demonstrated techniques in front of us, so we could do the same at home. Nikki always gave alternative options to use and demonstrated all of them to us. I left every session knowing more and feeling more confident as a pet parent. We have enrolled in the next course as Ziggy graduated Manners Class. 5 stars every day of the week!!!
Highly highly recommend this dog school! My 9 month old Border Collie Toby is currently in foundation obedience with trainer Emma at Loganholme. He is going so well and is learning so quickly using the methods I have been taught by Emma. We have only done 2 sessions so far and you can see from the images the methods taught work really well if you put in the effort to continue training at home. Toby has gone from walking me on the leash to walking respectfully beside me, regardless of what’s going on… unless he sees one of his doggy mates. There’s still a little work to be done in that aspect, but he has made so much progress. In the first image you can see Toby in a stand stay waiting patiently and calmly, even though there were lots of people just a short distance away that he would love to go and see. 2 weeks ago he would have been dragging me to the people for pats. Toby is also getting the hang of mat training at home, stationing himself on the mat when asked and relaxing on the mat until he is released. You can see he is so relaxed he decided to take a little nap! I really appreciate the training we both have received from Emma and I now have tools and knowledge for any future dogs I bring into my home. Thank you!
