Amazing every single time. Everything here is on point. Worth making a weekend stop for the cinnamon rolls. We are incapable of eating them quietly. Yes, they're THAT good. And Charles is so kind! Lucky to have his shop here in the Laurel

Got the veggie quiche and frozen veggie pot pie. Quiche was delicious!! 4 inches high. Stacked with crunchy crust and delicate egg contents with mushrooms. Delicious! Will be back to try the sweet selections … thank you!

I was looking for a good cheesecake in the East Bay for my boyfriend's birthday cake, since he is a big fan of cheesecake. I relized this place had actulally been on my want to go list for a whle with a note saying "NY Cheesecake", so I decided to give it a try! I ordreded their "I Love New York Cheesecake" online three days in advance and picked it up in the store. The whole process was smooth and easy. Once I placed the order, I got a comfirmation email right away. The cheesecake is smooth, with dense cream cheese filling with a hint of fresh lemon and Madagascar vanilla on a buttery shortbread crust. The cake tasted amazing, and I'll definitely be back to try their other flavors in the future!

Charles is so kind, thoughtful, & community-minded, plus is turning out some truly creative & beautifully seasonal sandwiches & pastries! Every item on the menu is so fresh & thoughtfully composed with care & attention to detail. He truly has a gift! While we waited for pot pies, he even gave us a beautiful box of comped baked goods 🥹

Amazing spot! I've been wanting to check this place out ever since it opened a few years ago in the Laurel District. The owner, Charles, is clearly passionate about baked goods. I tried the sweet potato pie (perfectly spiced and not too sweet), the seasonal carrot cake (amazing reimagining), and the breakfast sandwich (tender biscuit, loaded and satisfying). No photo of the pie since I devoured it too fast. I came back for the cheesecake, and it was perfection. Even if I'm remotely nearby, I'll make a stop. I love supporting this Black-owned businesses!
