Cypher Side isn’t just a dance school to me; it truly feels like a second family. I first showed up as a kid who wanted to get better at breaking, and I ended up finding a community that is supportive, patient, and genuinely encouraging. The coaches know exactly what they’re doing, and they teach in a way that makes everything feel achievable. They guide you step by step, give helpful tips, and celebrate your progress in a way that feels real. I have been now dancing with Cypher Side for 8 years and I wouldn't want it any different. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and it makes you excited to walk through the door. People of all levels fit in here, and everyone grows at their own pace without pressure. I’ve learned so much, not only as a dancer but as a person, and I always feel better after a session. If you’re looking for a place to learn, grow, and feel supported the whole way, Cypher Side is definitely the place to be. I recommend it to anyone who wants to start or continue their dance journey in a positive and uplifting space.

This studio has improved my lifestyle by 10x!! I have been dancing at this studio since 2021 and I have never been to such a welcoming and enjoyable studio. At Cypherside, they provide a space for me to make friends, which in my case, are becoming lifelong peers. I chose to stay season after season because of the amazing and supportive community! They expect nothing but your hard work, commitment, and perseverance! The teachers at this studio are amazing. From my observation and experience, they work so kindly with the kids, and have the best patience. The teachers have taught me all I know about dance and the dance culture! They are able to teach us choreography while educating us on the importance of dance culture. I found myself becoming comfortable with being uncomfortable and shining in places some may not have the confidence for. Of course, my confidence has grown since joining this studio and after each class I leave feeling good about myself/ my ability to grow. Overall, everything is organized and fun.

I’ve had horrible experiences with previous dance schools that claimed to be disability friendly. I was bullied for being autistic by both students and adults. Cypher side is so welcoming and accepting of people with disabilities. The teachers are so kind and supportive. Lou is so helpful and friendly. And Amber is so fun to be around. She’s the first teacher I’ve ever had to let me be myself. She listens when something is bothering us and helps us figure stuff out.

Cypher Side is a home away from home for my son. He has been taking lessons here for breaking and hip hop since 2017 and his life is better for it. The friendships forged here are wonderful and the way the owner/instructor Lue has supported my boy, even beyond the dance floor, is truly beautiful. Lue truly cares for each of his students. Also the opportunities provided to the youth are unmatched. The community is welcoming, inclusive and supportive. The instructors are amazing, with a broad skill set paired with continuous involvement throughout the dance community professionally. They are truly working artists that have a passion for their craft.

I'm more heartbroken than anything from this experience for my 3 year old son, and as a mom that's still newly navigating life with a special needs child and was naive enough to think this could work out. So, I'm just going to leave an email they sent me as a review. I really had high hopes since they offer classes for adults with developmental disabilities. So, I thought maybe they would have a little more compassion towards my son. This is just another reminder and sad reality that we're not wanted and we don't belong. "Hello, We wanted to check in regarding [my son's] Hip Hop class. We’ve noticed that [my son] has been frequently screaming and attempting to leave the classroom during sessions, which has made it challenging to maintain a positive learning environment for all students. Although the drop deadline was September 24th, we feel that this class may not be the right fit for [my son] at this time. Before making a final decision to officially unenroll him, we’d be happy to schedule a time to meet and talk further about [my son's] experience in class. Please know that you will not be charged for the remaining months, and we will refund your recent payment that was processed on September 25th if unenrollment is confirmed. Thank you for your understanding and we truly appreciate your support."
