Daniel’s Lawn & Landscaping did a great job for us. They killed off and sodded our front yard to get rid of the Bermuda grass and did landscaping around our house. Daniel is wonderful to work with. We appreciated his designs to help us visualize the landscaping and that he was patient and did a good job explaining things. We highly recommend Daniel.
I contacted Daniel’s Landscaping after trying several other companies. Getting quotes was painful and the quotes were very high. Working with Daniel was just the opposite. Quotes were done quickly and were very thorough. Phone calls were returned promptly; mostly he just answered immediately. He made several thoughtful suggestions. I was really pleased that some actually saved me money. I was pleasantly surprised when his quote came in less than his competitors even though he was doing more work with better quality products. Once the sprinkler system was in they went from bare dirt and weeds to a finished job in four days. These guys work. After we had the job completed we had a couple of minor issues. Daniel took care the problems in hours not days. This is a company I am happy recommending to my friends without reservation.
I reached out initially for a free quote and the first meeting with Daniel went so smooth and he explained everything and answered ALL my questions. He quickly got back to me with quotes on the things I was having done. Once I decided to move forward, his team was there and ready to go as planned. I had some concrete work done, stone edging done, sod and trees planted. His entire team was amazing and did a great job. Absolutely amazing work from start to finish. We had our original landscape put in when our home was built last year (not by Daniels) and to say the original landscape was less than par is an understatement at best. Our entire design had to be redone all the way around our home. The customer service we received with Daniel's exceeded all expectations. The crew is amazing. They went above and beyond. If you want quality landscape design and outstanding customer service this is your company. We get multiple compliments on the design and choice of plants. They also do our mowing and fertilization. Great company. I Have included some before and after photos.
The house that we were building in NE Wichita was completed back in the winter of 2019/2020. We were waiting until the spring of 2020 to do some dirt work, landscaping, sprinklers, building a stone patio and a waterfall for the front garden area. At first we thought that we would have to find different contractors to do the different jobs, but when we did a search on landscaping in the Wichita area, we noticed one contractor that also advertised hardscaping – Daniel’s Lawn & Landscaping Services. We called Daniel and explained to him what we were wanting. After a couple of days, he came out and provided several ideas that we had not even thought of. Once we had a good plan, he provided an estimate for the entire job (each item listed separately). Dirt Work First of all, they had to bring in about 200 tons of dirt to level and build up areas especially in our big back yard area and in preparation for sodding later on. Daniel was very practical at getting a good value for the dirt. At the same time, they started digging out an area for our back patio. The type of patio that we wanted needed a good foundation so they dug down to provide a solid footing for the patio. Stone Patio Once the dirt work was done and the foundation of the patio set, they started building the patio. One of Daniel’s partners, Juan Carlos, is not only an excellent stone worker, but he is a stone artist. Rather than doing what we had planned originally, he would make suggestions along the way that would give it that extra artistic touch. For example, he gave us an option to have a “stone” firepit – not one built “with” stones, but one “huge” stone with a large hole drilled out of it for the fire pit area. Other improvements along the way made nice finishing touches. Waterfall For the front flower garden we wanted a waterfall - not the store bought type systems – but something natural and unique. Again, Carlos steps in; and by this time, we just trusted him to build a very ornate stone waterfall. He got his creative juices going and came up with a great design that turned out amazing. Again, another enhancement was suggested – an all-stone bench next to the waterfall. This bench is one large stone with legs cut out of it – incredibly unique. Sprinklers and Landscaping Next came the design and installation of the sprinkler system and the flower beds. We also did 7 trees which we picked out with Daniel at a local nursery. He also helped us with the choice of plants and flowers. He even brought in 4 boulders to enhance the front landscape some. Additionally, his crew installed granite/stone boulders with lighted glass in the middle for illuminating the landscape. They also installed some tree lights into some boulders as well to shine on the trees at night. All these lights make the night view of the landscaping look great! Cost These projects were not cheap. Along, the way we would visit with Daniel and Carlos and they would give us some ideas of enhancements. As we look back, we also believe that we could have probably found contractors who could have done some of the work cheaper. That is what we were planning to do in the beginning. But we came to realize that saving money in this fashion has its costs as well. It would have been a NIGHTMARE to try and coordinate several different contractors with their schedules, our schedules, the weather, etc. With Daniel, we only had one place to call to coordinate it all. We saved so many headaches by just using Daniel as our one contractor. That said, don’t think that they are expensive either – they charge a fair price. Summary Honestly, we have had quite a few people stop and ask us who did our landscaping. We have no reservations in recommending Daniel’s Lawn & Landscaping Services. In fact, we already have them signed up on their fertilization program and are planning on having him do a few more things this spring as well. Their quality is excellent and their customer service is great. Thank you, Daniel, Carlos, and crew!
