I strongly discourage anyone from patronizing this shop. They lost my fiance's engagement ring for 9 months and did not, in the end, provide us with any net compensation for this mistake. Details of our experience are below. In 2023 I purchased a handmade engagement ring from a different retailer, who sent it to D'Antonio and Klein for resizing last January, on 01/31/2024, shortly after we got engaged. According to Gino, who is one of the proprietors, D'Antonio and Klein promptly misplaced the ring after receiving it. Gino told us that, because it came in a ring box that was shaped like a pinecone, the shop employees did not realize that it was a ring, and simply put it in the safe and forgot about it. Meanwhile, my fiance and I repeatedly reached out to the original retailer to ask about the resizing process, until we were finally informed on 08/06/2024 that the ring had been lost. We asked for D'Antonio and Klein to pay for a replacement, and after two weeks they paid the ring maker a wholesale price of $1,800 to replace the ring. They did not offer any compensation for the fact that my fiance had been without an engagement ring for 6 months at this point. On 11/08/2024, while the replacement was still being remade, we visited the D'Antonio and Klein storefront and Gino revealed to us that they had found the original ring in the safe. He offered to give it back to us only if we gave him the replacement. Since we didn't have the replacement yet, we had to walk away empty-handed (or empty-fingered, you might say). When the replacement was finished, we decided to keep it, because the original had still not been resized and the replacement had a slightly different shape that my fiance preferred. We asked Gino if we could buy back the original ring. He told us that he could probably sell it to us for scrap value, and would confirm a price with us after talking to his business partner. 8 weeks elapsed while we waited for Gino to get back to us. After many unanswered calls and emails, I finally visited the store in person today, 2/15/25, and Gino told me that he had changed his mind about scrapping the ring and was thinking of possibly re-selling it to a different customer, so he wanted the full wholesale price of $1,800 that he had paid for a replacement. I asked if he could compromise on the price, considering that if we paid him $1,800 it would mean that D'Antonio and Klein came out even in the whole process, despite losing the ring for 9 months and taking up a considerable amount of my time spent calling, emailing, and visiting their store. But he wouldn't budge, so I had to pay the full $1,800 to get it back. Throughout our interactions with Gino, he insisted on placing the blame for the lost ring on the original retailer for sending it in a box that resembled a pinecone and for not following up with him quickly about it after sending it. I feel that instead, a responsible business owner would keep a more careful inventory of their jewelry and would have been proactive about communicating with clients and other businesses. The lesson for any reader of this review should be that D'Antonio and Klein were willing in this case to take a risk to their reputation in order to make sure that their mistake didn't cost them anything, even while costing me time and effort (and costing my fiance more than 6 months without an engagement ring!). Before leaving any jewelry with them for repair or resizing, you should be aware that you are taking a risk that they may lose your jewelry and that it will not necessarily be easy to recover it if they find it again. I had an amazing experience with D'Antonio & Klein, especially working with Jonathan. He is incredibly knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable exploring my options within my budget. I didn’t know much about engagement rings, but Jonathan never took advantage of that. Instead, he guided me through the entire process, always keeping in touch via text or call. Jonathan and his team can customize the ring to your liking, and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. My wife is absolutely thrilled with her engagement ring and wedding band from here. Gino was great to work with for my fiancé’s engagement ring. He sat down with us to show us different diamonds in the beginning without pressure. He also kept us informed during the whole process by consulting during the design phase, then making a wax model, and sending pictures of the casting. My fiancé loves it and we got a better quality ring for a much better price compared to similar options from the larger chains. Looking forward to working with them again!

My partner and I had the absolute best experience designing my engagement ring here. We came in together and tried several different sizes and cuts that John got for us and he created my dream ring that turned out better than I could have imagined. The whole process was so special and everyone here is very knowledgeable and kind and made sure everything was perfect for us. D'Antonio and Klein Jewelers are downright amazing! Please don't hesitate to stop by. We wanted to buy a diamond ring for our 35th anniversary. I was interested in lab grown diamonds. Margie Cini expertly guided us through the process of creating a custom-made diamond ring. She curated a selection of diamonds and guided us through the selection and design process. I had ideas of what I wanted, but I couldn't quite pin it down. None of that is a challenge for the skilled jewelers at D'Antonio and Klein. Matt, the designer, looked at my pics and immediately pulled a ring out that had a similar design. Using that as inspiration, we moved forward. I had a budget in mind, and Margie always kept it in mind and provided beautiful choices that respected my budget. I am stunned by the beauty of the finished product. The pictures do not do it justice. Thank you to Margie, Matt, John, and all the creative and talented craftsmen at D'Antonio and Klein. It was certainly worth the wait!
