I ordered the biography of uthman (may Allah be pleased with him)by Ali as-sallabi through the dar Makkah site. I received it today and the whole service was great.

I had a wonderful experience with Dar Makka International. From start to finish, their service was professional, caring, and reliable. I ordered books, and even when one of the titles was unavailable, they promptly offered excellent alternatives and kept me updated throughout. The quality of the books is great, and the team went out of their way to ensure I was satisfied. JazakAllahu Khair for your dedication and outstanding customer service – I highly recommend Dar Makka International to anyone looking for authentic Islamic books and resources!

Would not order books from here. The people running it are not professional. They do not give you any updates on your order you have to chase. They don’t reply on WhatsApp. The phone line is also terrible and there is always noise in the background. Also if the book your order is not in stock they don’t bother to tell you. They might have a good selection but poor communication makes it painful to deal with them.

I ordered a book for a lesson with £5.99 next day delivery, it's now 4 days late on the weekend still not recieved. Evri have been very delayed, but I eventually asked Dar Makkah on whatsapp to refund for the delivery as it's been a big inconvenience for me and I'm also skint. They have been totally unbothered, ignoring messages, making me beg for six quid when I expected they would at least apologise and refund it. They insisted on not being able to refund the delivery cost without claiming from Evri first. They have now eventually refunded £1 saying that's the difference between next day and standard delivery (which is a lie as standard is 2.99 on the website). The main problem is how an Islamic bookshop would be so stingy and dishonest, you can read other reviews talking about them scamming people with prices and deliveries too. Non Muslim businesses are more respectful than this. Don't bother with them

I finally visited this bookstore yesterday — I’ve wanted to go for ages! The shop is amazing, with so much to browse. I did see a sign about abayas upstairs, but I couldn’t find them. As I was about to post a review, I noticed someone mentioned the website and complained about prices being different in store. I didn’t even know there was a website, so just for fun I checked the prices of the books I bought — and the uncle had actually undercharged me, not overcharged! I didn’t think the total was expensive at all, in fact, very reasonable. Don’t let the negative reviews put you off.
