Great collection of books, ranging from old collectors to more modern novels. I ended up buying another Shakespeare for the collection and the cashier was so kind.

Absolutely wonderful little bookstore. I did not get the cashiers name but he was super nice and helpful. He saw me fawning over the collection of rare and collectible books and opened the case without me even needing to ask, and we had a very lovely chat. He even told me about other bookstores around the quarter. Will definitely be back next time I'm in New Orleans!

Dauphine Street Books was the highlight of my trip to New Orleans, I spent a significant amount of time in this treasure of a shop and even went back the next day. The finds are absolutely incredible and I can’t wait to get lost in the books again!

Not that I needed anymore books at the moment but walking through the quarter and passing this place wasn't an option. Popped in after a parade because Happy Mardi Gras, my ability to say no disappeared several drinks ago. We perused for several minutes, it's not a very big store but well curated/stocked. I believe this was the only bookstore in the quarter I had yet to visit. We all ended up making purchases and I really really need a bigger bookshelf at this point.

We had no idea this bookstore was here. We stumbled across this amazing collection of books and were not disappointed at all. The owner is kind and super helpful. He is knowledgeable about his books and he went out of his way to help me, even stopping what he was doing to put a protective cover over the book I purchased. I do have a limited collection of books, nothing to write home about, but his care and concern for the book I stumbled across was superb! Much appreciated. This bookstore is the kind that movies are made about… some long, lost ancient book with secret puzzles can be found here! It is a true treasure hunt experience. Enjoy yourself!
