So I bought a $250 gift card for my fiance. We just had a baby and for her birthday I wanted to treat her to a spa experience. We’ve done the Davenport spa massage and facials almost about 5 separate times. When I bought the card I asked I would like the facial and massage how much will it be? Spa employee said that $250 would be enough for both. Bought the card in June. Fast forward to September when she was able to get some free time to try it she headed on into the spa. They told her over the phone when she booked it she was using the $250 card for the facial and massage, employee over the phone AGAIN said it should be enough for the whole experience. They tacked on the gratuities when she arrived and tell her it’s going to be another $70 tip per treatment. She had enough to tip but not that much. We are on a fixed income and I’ve been out of work for two months. The one thing she was looking forward to was this experience and they demanded the money upfront to do the services. We don’t have the funds so she couldn’t use the gift card, didn’t do any of the treatments and Davenport decided to charge her $75 per experience anyway. She was crying leaving the hotel and was heartbroken. I honestly can’t believe how they treated this whole situation and I’m quite appalled as to how she was treated. I’d hope that the spa can make it right but a business that operate in this manner don’t really care about how you feel, only about $$$$. What a terrible experience and great way to hide fees and lie to their customers. We weren’t even customers and we had to pay $150! This spa operate in a grotesque manner and until they fix this I will leave this comment here in perpetuity! Do better Davenport!
I went to this spa for a girl’s day with my mom and best friend. We all had wonderful experiences but I had the pleasure of having Kendra for my facial and Kaleigh for my massage. The signature facial with Kendra was an absolutely perfect experience. She is clearly a professional who has been in her field for many years. From the products she used to her skilled massage techniques, my skin came out radiant and I felt relaxed and refreshed. The signature massage with Kaleigh was complete perfection. She listened to my every need and accommodated some complex physical limitations like a sheer pro. Clearly a veteran of her field, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I don’t typically write too many reviews but I had to tell the world about these two women and the absolutely stellar time we all had at this spa. Highly recommend.
Massage was wonderful. Kayleigh did a phenomenal job. 5 stars for her. I loved the fact that she let me choose the scents I wanted her to use. The hot stone is definitely wonderful. She incorporated lots of deep tissue into it as well- which was so great. Orange juice, mimosa, champagne, tea, coffee, and apple cider were offered as complimentary. Unfortunately, since our massage was the last for the night, the steam room was off. Otherwise, we enjoyed it.
I have never had a facial. Everyone said the Davenport Spa and Salon was THE best. I booked myself a 60 min appointment with Kendra. I arrived early to experience the Serenity room. It is a dark warm peaceful room with soft music and a wonderful fireplace. After I changed into the fluffy robe, I found my choice beverage on the table where I sipped and relaxed with a friend and other ladies who were waiting for their appointment time. It was not awkward at all. I was invited to lay down onto a massage table with a warmed sheet and the facial began. A wonderfully relaxing shoulder, arms, and scalp massage while warm towels and various ointments, hydrates, exfoliators and other such products were gently applied to my face. Kendra has a very encouraging demeanor and explained what she was doing each time she applied and removed the various products she used. The hour went fast. When it was done, she handed me the robe and it was warm, like a hug. Back to the serenity room for some lemon water and a fee minutes in the sauna to relax. Then a shower, complete with shampoo, conditioner, angel soap and a thick towel. The spa offers packaged hairbrushes, pony holders, blow dryer, deodorant, body lotion and anything else a person would want to use after they shower to Greet the day. I would definitely reccomend this spa to anyone looking for a self care moment to themselves. It will be somethong I add to a monthly routine. 5 stars for sure!
All around the most relaxing and thoughtful massage I’ve had! From checking in and being brought back to the tranquility of the waiting room to the amazing robe and slippers you wear before and after the massage there is no thought left out. I wore make up to my appointment as it was a Mother’s Day surprise and it was nice they supplied the make up removing wipes, hair ties, and other self care items. They offered champagne, trail mix, and water which was a nice treat as well.
