Visited there yesterday for the 1st time, and I hope to be back many more! An AMAZING store, with a great owner! Go check it out, my daughter bought a lamp, and they could not have been more accommodating, 5stars and above!

Friendly son and father owned restoration and antiques shop. Many items of old, kept like a densely packed beautiful museum.

Before Daviddi’s: I found a charming used table (and two chairs) on Facebook marketplace that I absolutely fell in love with. This may not have been a table that everyone would have fallen in love with, but there was something about it that I absolutely adored. Not to mention it had a super cool gear mechanism for extending that I felt like you just don’t see in modern pieces. The table and chairs had certainly seen better days. The finish was completely dull and drab and had zero luster. The chairs were literally chewed up and falling apart. If there were any grain under there, you certainly couldn’t see it. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the function and novelty of this table for years. At one point, when one of my friends sat and fell through one of the chairs, I realized I needed to figure out how to nurture this set. I am from Dearborn, Michigan, but I live in Kentucky. While I searched for a place to help me in this mission, I remembered a beloved neighbor while growing up in Michigan…Mr. Daviddi had an antique store. I had no idea if he still had the antique store or if they did refinishing there, but I finally made the call. I knew that if I wanted this table to be done right, it would be worth the 6 hour drive to take it to folks whose character I knew. I knew that Mr. Daviddi and his son would have the heart, artisanship, and excellence that is almost extinct these days. I was right. After Daviddi’s: When I picked up the table and chairs after the refinishing was complete, I swear I got choked up and teary-eyed. Their work is the kind that imbues material objects with soul. The entire process added not just luster and beauty back to these pieces but also a recognition of meticulous care and time to make something beautiful again. I could not have imagined that this table and these chairs were hiding under all of that initial dullness. If you love a piece enough, you will take it to Daviddi Antiques. As a sidenote, I think I bought half the store between my two trips! What a contrast from pieces I’ve ordered from Amazon or Target or Ashley which feel truly inanimate, mass produced, and soulless. All the things I got from Daviddi Antiques are compelling. They make you feel things when you look at them. You know they have stories and have been present for who knows how many life experiences. I may have to get some practical pieces for practical purposes in my home, but I will keep treasure-hunting at Daviddi Antiques to enrich my home with the art and soul that only comes from pieces that are worked on by artisans or pieces that bring stories with them.

The owner offered to give me the item for a discount after I was short 100 dollars

This is hands-down one of the most magical antique stores I’ve ever visited. I found the most stunning, one-of-a-kind antique bronze and brass statues—truly showstopping pieces you won’t see anywhere else. Every corner of the showroom is filled with beautiful treasures, from grand statement pieces to the most charming trinkets. Their curation is impeccable—it’s like walking through a gallery of timeless taste. And I cannot say enough about William and Daviddi. They are absolute gems: warm, welcoming, deeply knowledgeable, and so patient. Their passion for antiques shines through in everything they do, and they made the entire experience unforgettable. If you’re looking for unique, heirloom-quality pieces and a truly delightful buying experience, this is the place. An absolute 10/10.

William and his team refinished a number of dining room pieces from 1990 honey tones to a rich, modern walnut tone. This team was fantastic. The work came out beautiful...like new. William and team were professional, meticulous, and passionate about their work. Of all the contractors I have used, Daviddi Antiques is at the top. Highly recommend! Great quality, at a reasonable price. Really well done!
