Decades is a true vintage shop that just feels like San Francisco. The selection is beautiful unique, and intentional, but what really makes the place special is Cicely. She’s a total character in the best way and truly the life of the store. Warm, funny, and effortlessly stylish, she brings the whole space to life. Decades perfectly captures that bold energy and somehow reflects the spirit of the Lower Haight itself. A genuine neighborhood treasure and one of those places that reminds you why this city is so special.

PSA: Make sure to load your parking meter for 2+ hours because this shop requires TIME. Carefully curated selections with a range of quality depending on your budget. Found a beautiful 1920's dress, paid 4x more than what I was expecting, but really happy to have a special dress vs. cheap disposable version. Malina (sp?) was so patient and provided excellent fashion advice, thank you!

I really wanted to thank Decades of Fashion and the manager that was on duty on October 10, I know it started with an M, and I think another lady named Linda. I moved to the Pacific Northwest/Seattle about five years ago. My husband used to work at Love of the Ganesha when we lived in San Francisco The company I work for in PNW was having an 80s party as our annual company event. My team harassed me into actually getting dressed up, because normally I’m pretty strait laced and don’t dress up for events. I knew I wanted to be an 80s rocker that was attending the MTV musical awards - so 1983! but I couldn’t find one place in Seattle where I could get everything I needed. And I remembered Decades of Fashion - I knew that’s where I needed to go. So I flew down on Thursday night. And was at their door on Friday at noon. The two ladies there were so incredibly helpful and did everything they could to make me feel comfortable, even wearing Ass less chaps. we for glitter // hair // accessories. I knew it was right when the total of my purchases came up to 666!!! 👽👽 I flew back to Seattle on Saturday morning and attended the event on Saturday night and my team had no idea who I was when I walked in the door. again, I am so appreciative of the team there and the election that they have in order to get dressed up

The store is beautiful. As soon as you walk in, you’re greeted by a thoughtfully curated outfit that immediately sets the tone for the space. The staff are incredibly helpful and attentive, making the whole experience feel personal and welcoming. We were lucky enough to chat with the owner, who turned out to be a truly lovely person—warm, passionate, and clearly dedicated to what she does. Stepping into the store feels like getting a peek into other people’s closets from different decades. Each piece seems to carry a story, carefully selected to reflect a mix of eras and styles. It’s more than just shopping; it’s like time-traveling through fashion, discovering treasures that feel both nostalgic and timeless.
