We feel very lucky to have submitted our names for a free engagement session on a whim as this led us to finding hands down the best wedding photographer in Wisconsin. Leading up to both our engagement session and wedding, we had check-ins with Derrick to describe our vision for each session. Derrick did both our wedding and engagement photos and he is the BEST! As you can see, the photos are utterly stunning. Not only that, Derrick is professional, knowledgeable, easy to communicate with, timely, organized, and kind. Derrick truly exceeded our expectations in every way!! He is an incredible photographer, very professional, and a pleasure to work with. In the lead-up to the wedding, he was responsive and let us know exactly what to expect. We had complete trust in him and never had to worry about photography. His personality made him easy to work with, and his flexible approach was perfect for us. We asked Derrick to take the lead in deciding photo location and poses, and he was happy to take charge of it. He made it clear that he wanted to add as little distraction or stress as possible to our wedding. Being photographed by Derrick is extremely easy. We are far from naturals in front of a camera, and he made us both feel right at home. It was never awkward or difficult, and you can tell that he has an appreciation for what he does. Our bridal party felt similarly at ease with him. The photos themselves are terrific. He made us look great, and really captured the magic of that day. Looking through the photos, we were surprised to see all the special moments he captured, and we’re so glad that we have permanent memories of them. Derrick photographed our wedding this past weekend and we are absolutely blown away by our sneak peeks (and how quickly he got them to us!).
