Here’s a polished Google review you could post for the Desert Botanical Garden: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We visited Desert Botanical Garden at night around Christmas and it was a magical experience! The holiday lighting is absolutely beautiful, with real candles creating a warm and cozy atmosphere throughout the garden. Each section had different live performers, and the music was so pleasant and relaxing—it really set the perfect holiday mood. One of our favorite parts was a small band performing “Blue Christmas,” which was wonderful. In another area, there was a special tree where guests could post their New Year’s resolutions, which was a thoughtful and interactive touch. Harp performers are really elegant and their music is soothing in the evening. We enjoyed the visit.
Went on a Sunday afternoon to see the garden and witness the sunset. The grounds are spectacular! The Desert Pulse exhibit show time lapse photography of several parts of the gardens. The videos of plants over the course of a year were just awesome. One should make time to visit the gardens and plan to spend at least an hour if not two! There is an upscale restaurant and gift shop. #desertbotanicalgarden @dbgphx
The Desert Botanical Garden Luminaries experience was absolutely breathtaking. Walking through the garden illuminated by soft glowing lights was incredibly relaxing and peaceful. The atmosphere felt romantic yet grounding, creating a space where you could slow down, reflect, and truly be present in the moment. What made it especially meaningful for me was the spiritual calm the evening carried. Surrounded by nature, light, and quiet beauty, it felt like a gentle reminder to pause and reconnect—with creation, with loved ones, and with something deeper within the soul. The pathways, music, and warm glow of the luminaries transformed the desert into something almost otherworldly. It was an immersive experience that nourished the heart as much as it delighted the senses. I left feeling calm, refreshed, and deeply grateful. If you’re looking for an evening that is beautiful, romantic, serene, and spiritually uplifting, the Luminaries at the Desert Botanical Garden is truly a must-see.
I was not sure if I would like this, but I ended up loving it. It can be a bit of a walk, but I went in Nov and it was not overwhelmingly hot, but still warm. I enjoyed the cactus and plants so much, they bloom beautifully. Of course they have a lovely butterfly exhibit so worth going to. The shop and restaurant was not to bad, slightly pricey, still nice though. I had a refreshing margarita. I would recommending giving this place a visit, was most enjoyable.
The botanical garden is a must visit. The trails are no lesser than any state park/national park. The gathering tours were really informative. The staff is friendly. Gift store is so beautiful. There are water stations every now and there. Hydration is not all a problem. Loved watching butterflies and hummingbirds in the butterflies trail. Saguaros are unique.
