I absolutely love Desert Star for my daughter. Its hard to believe we are going on over 8 years of her being a part of the DS family! They really treat all the dancers with respect. As a busy mom of 3 who works over 100 hours per week (sometimes more), I appreciate how organized they are, and I also appreciate how patient they are with me catching up on life in general. Any time I need details on upcoming events, its always provided in the simplest form, covering all the details needed. In addition, I love how much dance has influenced my daughter to be so involved in the arts world. Watching how much she has progressed and become so advanced in her skills is just amazing. I love the opportunity they have built for her in this space. ❤️

The Gold Standard of Local Dance! I cannot recommend Desert Star highly enough! This studio has always been a gem in our family for the past 8 years my daughter has been attending but the recent stunning remodel has elevated the entire experience to a new level. The facility is truly inspiring and comfortable space for dancers of all ages. However, the real magic of DSD lies in their unparalleled dance recital productions. Every single show, from the annual recital to their holiday performances, is executed with such flawless professionalism and incredible artistry that it feels like a Broadway experience. The choreography is creative and challenging, the costumes are gorgeous, and the lighting and staging are always top-notch. Seeing the students perform their routines, is a testament to the dedication and expert instruction of the entire faculty. If you are looking for a studio that invests in its space, nurtures true talent, and puts on truly amazing, memorable dance productions, look no further. Five stars simply aren't enough! We love DSD!

My daughter has been going to Desert Star Dance for 4 years and she absolutely loves it. She just had her Christmas recital yesterday at Gilbert Regional Park and it is such a beautiful park to have it. The view was beautiful, they perform at amphitheater which is right by the lake which makes some pretty awesome pictures and videos. My daughter is in multiple classes which there was enough space for us to take our clothing rack to hang up the costumes and enough space for them to change. My daughter has grown so much at the studio. She has made so many friends and memories. Ann and the teachers are great. They make the studio fun for the kids. We love it and my daughter never wants to leave.

Both of by girls have been dancing at desert star dance since 2022 and we adore this studio! They care about their students, the teachers are so talented and caring, and they promote so many positive life skills! They put so much care into their recital productions and it shows! I highly recommend this studio to anyone who is considering starting their child in dance.

Miss Jayda the dance teacher is wonderful and it's very nice to have the option for teens to take a beginner dance class, however I am appalled by the recital venue choice! Having a dance recital outside meant bring your own chair or have to sit in the dead grass, have the sun in your eyes and sweat beading down your forehead, and no one can see their child dance with people walking around the whole time and no amphitheater style seating. The dancers had to come get their costumes in the middle of the recital because their was no storage for extra costumes and by daughter's tutu had a spider crawling in it. These are beautiful, high-quality costumes! It is such a disappointment to pay a fortune for top level dance instruction and costumes, recital fees, etc just to have the recital outdoors. I'm just glad it wasn't raining! But what a chaotic, unprofessional, poor choice! It gives the impression that the studio would rather pocket the money than pay for a decent recital venue. Never doing this again.
