We wanted a low maintenence front yard that could withstand Fresno county's heat, but still looked nice. Design a Dream came recommended to us and after working with them I can see why. Out of all the landscape companies we spoke to Design a Dream was the only one who was educated in what was needed to create a healthy environment for the plants. Anyone can dig a hole and put a tree in it but Design a Dream was mindful of placement, ground treatment, irrigation, runoff, design and specific plant needs. The crew was always respectful to us and the property. They asked our preferences for things while working which we appreciated. Things were done timely, efficiently and they never left a mess. It was clear from start to finish that they took pride in their work and it was important to do the job right. The owners are very involved, helpful and kind. Their prices were fair and with the finished result we are 100% glad we went with them. We plan on doing a similar project with our backyard and will be trusting them again with our home. I highly recommend them if you are looking for landscaping, design or irrigation.
We started with a huge project about a year ago. In the past we had a number of companies change our front yard and because they did not know what they were doing we had to do it again and again. Aaron arrived at our home to help us design our new project. We decided to take everything out of the front yard except for my nine trees and artificial lawn. I met Daniel the designer for Design a Dream who showed me the design that was set up and I could approve it or make some changes with his help. Each day that they worked Aaron was always there to get them started even thought he had a lead man and a great crew. I even added a couple of other projects for them to do for me. When the job was finished the wife, Aaron and I did a walk around. The wife was very very happy with their work, and I was impressed with the final project. Every neighbor loved what Design a Dream did to our front yard and over the past months Numbers of walkers stopped to look it over and if I was out in the front yard, they would always make a comment on how beautiful the yard looked. I don't advertise or write reviews for companies but in the case of Design A Dream I have passed out over 25 of their business cards to passerby's and as you can see, I've written this review. Why .. Because Design A Dream is a Great Company.
If we could give more than 5 stars, we would. This company should really be named, "Beyond Your Wildest Dreams Landscape!" They were not only professional from day one, came early every day, were highly respectful with our time and busy schedules, and finished our massive backyard one week earlier than they quoted. I can't speak highly enough about this company. John, Aaron, Dan, Osmar and his crew far exceeded our expectations, and we cannot recommend them enough!
We enjoyed working with Aaron and his team at Design A Dream. With their help and vision we were able to design a backyard we enjoy spending time in. Due to the heat and the poor soil in Madera, we have had a few plants die on us. But Design a Dream guarantees their work and will come out and replace the plants if they die.
Design a Dream cheerfully welcomed our project of landscaping a huge, nearly barren, yard space. They brought a rich variety of drought-tolerant plants to our space and arranged the trees, bushes and ground-cover in ways that are creating a multidimensional space filled with color, fruit, and shade, leaves of every shade of green, and textures of many varieties. These plants are attractive to butterflies and hummingbirds. And flowers take turns blooming all over the yard, so the palette is ever changing. We needed an extensive, environmentally-conscious irrigation system, and Design a Dream created one that uses the newest technologies for making the most of each water drop in a variety of ways. They effectively removed stubborn tree stumps. They changed the composition of our sandy soil, so water wouldn't sink through the ground without nourishing our new plants. They contracted with concrete finishers to create a series of beautiful, durable patios. And they recommended a lawn service that continues to provide maintenance of our backyard paradise. There were unpredictable challenges that our project presented to Design a Dream, but these installers overcame these challenges without charging us for the additional labor costs beyond the initial estimate we were provided. Design a Dream provided extraordinary customer service, always responding to questions and concerns very quickly and thoroughly. The "babies" are still small, so the yard does not look as impressive as it will when these trees and bushes are fully grown. But we have already seen substantial growth over just a few months! My family is so grateful for the therapeutic escape that this talented, professional team has given us.
