I came here for drinks with a friend and our Bartender Sam was very lovely and made our time here one to remember, great drinks and a great personality to boot! He made us feel very welcomed and had great tips for other places to visit!
We thought it was a Mexican restaurant till we walked in 😅 I was definitely surprised with the sticky floor tho jajaja Menu was basic, burritos, nachos, quesadillas, tacos over priced for just 3… it’s more of a tex mex kind of food We had the burrito and quesadillas we both gave it a 4 out of 10 it definitely needs more of a Mexican taste Do I recommend hmmm not really maybe for drinks it might be a good place but after my experience I won’t be going back oh and I think my waiter was a bit tipsy jajajaja😅
Shared the pork burrito, beef tacos and beef quesadilla (two people shared). Very very good food. Great service. Atmosphere a little loud. Younger hip vibe feel but the best meal i had out of the three restaurants i ate at in old quebec! Would recommend.
⭐ 1/5 - Avoid Deux22 at all costs. My dinner at this Mexican restaurant in Quebec City was an absolute disaster. The food was utterly tasteless. The tofu tacos and burrito featured rubbery, chewy tofu that was borderline inedible. The fish tacos tasted stale, like they’d been sitting out for days. The veggie nachos were a soggy mess, drowning in cheese with no other discernible flavors and zero crispiness. Service was atrocious—our food took over 25 minutes to arrive, with no apology or explanation. To top it all off, they forcefully demanded a minimum 15% tip, which wasn’t mentioned on the menu or at ordering. I’m fine tipping for good service, but being strong-armed into it after such a dreadful experience is insulting. Save your money and eat elsewhere.
We had to stop for a quick lunch on a Sunday afternoon, not too many options were available, but this place was open. Seems like a combination of bar and clothing store (?). We sat at the bar. Super friendly bartender Sam took really good care of us, made us feel like we were regular customers right off the bat. We ordered quesadillas and guacamole, our food was served quickly and was excellent. Generous portions, great flavor. Kudos for the homemade hot sauces. Nice selection of beer and cocktails, the Mexican mule with mescal was fantastic. Prices were fair. Definitely a great place to hang out.
