I'm sorry but I didn't get much out of my visit there. They recited from some non-English document. To me it was gibberish. No translation was provided. I believe they were praying to somebody or something but I'm unsure of who or what. I got the feeling that they were always selling something more. A retreat or contact with something or someone that was not present. The 2 things I got out of it was: #1 All we really have is our present state of consciousness and that - will never cease You must believe this. Everything else is impermanent and fleeting. #2 While meditating, you must not evaluate any sounds or distractions. Once you clear your mind observe your thoughts and how they proceed. You'll be surprised the route that travels from fear to anger. From vanity to lust. 1 star for each. I use ear plugs and a blindfold. I don't think group meditation is effective. It's just you and your thoughts. Good hot tea. That's not enuf to come from Fridley.

Beautiful, radiant, aware, down to earth practitioners of the Dharma. An authentic place to learn about the compassion and wisdom practices (Buddha Dharma).

Here's a life-changer: Come to meditate, stay for the friends. You might learn stuff about Buddhism, but more than that you will learn about yourself. Great place, really the highlight of that whole area :)

This is a relative small Latino community, very friendly and welcoming group, following the teachings of Bhudda, I just wish the services were longer.
