Phenomenal and a totally unique, distinctive restaurant + bar in the South Side Flats area of Pittsburgh. Legit mixology / cocktails, and very impressive food. Seafood, pasta, lamb gnocchi, etc. Highly recommend. Unlike so many other restos which tend to be “hit or miss,” this spot is CONSISTENTLY excellent. Also, if your party is 1-2 people you can prob find a spot at the bar for drinks +/- dinner.
The service was excellent and the food was phenomenal. The atmosphere is on the dim side, but it works well for a relaxed dining experience. Prices are very reasonable given the high quality of the food. I highly recommend trying several appetizers before your entrée—they’re outstanding. Easily one of the best restaurants in Pittsburgh.
2025 Update: The food is still amazing! Everything was delicious. Excellent service! Panna cotta was great, but the rest of deserts just good. 2024: This place was recommended to me and i was lucky to make a reservation on short notice. The host at restaurant is very friendly and makes you feel like you are coming over to an Italian house where the family is making a meal. The drink selection is limited, but wine selection is more than adequate. The appetizers were on point and all the pasta dishes were excellent. I wasn’t a fan of any of the deserts, except tiramisu was ok. Would definitely recommend this place and hopefully will return.
Food was spectacular! We really wanted to eat here but where unable to get a last minute reserve since they are always full (rightfully so) so we arrived near opening time, waited for a bit and where able to sit at the bar (which is always open for walk ins). Authentic, delicious italian food! And atmosphere is very intimate 💖 We had the veal, the gnocci ragu (the best) and the tiramisu!
We’ve been wanting to try this place for a while but it’s pretty difficult to get a reservation earlier than 8 PM. They obviously do a good business. Our reservation was at 5 PM, and I was impressed to see a line of people waiting to get in for the first-come, first-served bar seating. It filled up immediately. We were seated next to the bar area, close to the action. The inside is small, cozy, but lively and has charming tin ceiling tiles. The service was a little slow, and we had to ask for drink refills, something that was a little surprising for how many staff were working that night. The food was delicious with the exception of the seafood dish with risotto which, for the price-point, was underwhelming, over-cooked, and had cooled down by the time it was served to us. The rigatoni, however, was to-die-for! SO GOOD! It made up for the risotto, and is the reason why we will most definitely give this place a second chance.

Authentic Italian flavors in a cozy, vibrant setting—where every dish tells a story.
