We went for a tour and found after after we arrived that it was not going to be a bilingual tour. We had asked if they were going to use English as well to double check but they pretty much just said no. Needless to say we didn't understand a single thing that was said which takes away the entire part of the tour aspect. If you don't want to do English as well you need to tell customers before they pay and drive a good distance just for this. We could not find anything on the website saying this and other customers told us they usually do English as well, so it was quite rude to still not do English after we specifically asked.
Such a fun experience! We had a great time with our host Frank, who was hilarious and very engaging. The place is beautiful, and the wine is even better. For the price, I highly recommend it!
Fun selection of wines. We got the charcuterie tray - which is served after the tasting is complete. Friendly and knowledgeable presentation.
Loved loved loved everything! We took the "Épicurien" option for wine tasting that included a charcuterie board. Our host Frank was very knowledgeable about his products, clever and humorous. Made everyone feel at ease and was intrigued about our feed back regarding the wines. He also made nice suggestions about food arrangements and the best way to be served. The vast majority of the crowd were French speaking Québécois but a few guests made their way from Vermont, he made sure to translate everything as he went for everyone to feel included in this experience. We also participated in the "Fouloir" (Grape-Stomping) where women crushed down the grapes bare foot in a concrete & wooden enclosure. We had two men playing music for a nice ambiance, along with employees giving out rosé to the women participating in the grape stomping. If you're in the area, this is a must see ! The grape stomping season is in September, tickets open online around the last week of August. They sell out fast so you have to be quick - but oh so worth every penny !!
The winery itself is very nice, a lot of space to explore and several picnic tables to have a quick lunch or relax. Large selection of wines and well worth the money for the tasting. We had nearly a dozen bottles to test. The woman presenting was very good and funny though I felt it was rushed (took less than an hour to taste them all) and the samples were served after the explanations so by the time we were actually tasting them, she was already explaining the next one. It was kinda hard to follow as the opposite would have been better. COVID note: The verification of the vaccination passport took a long while. We were there 15 minutes before our reservation and ended up being 45 minutes late to it because of the wait...
