Paid $2400 for a job that was done by an handyman. Handyman charged $650. / Columbia gas said new furnace line was checked and approved. Handyman not certified by city. Had to find someone who could request permit. This company came , mind you everything was already done.replaced 2 or 3 panels , done that to make sure all was well and charged $2,400 for a job already done. Just for the permit. Word to the wise

Came in for a routine AC maintenance call. For no reason, the technician decided to take apart the entire furnace and then claimed there was a leak in the heat exchanger after supposedly seeing a microscopic scratch. He didn’t perform any other inspections to verify whether there was actually a leak. When asked to leave the home, he refused and threatened to call the gas company to shut off my gas. How can you declare that there’s a crack without actually removing the part or performing any proper inspection? Obviously there was nothing wrong, but they get paid to sell, so the technician is incentivized to lie. I’ve been trying to reach someone at the company for months with no luck.

Derrick was extremely professional and educational. Unlike many technicians he truly took the time to help me understand the problem and not run up my bill because I was unknowledgeable. Highly recommend DorMar specifically Derrick!

This company has been a disappointment. I have used them as my HVAC service for four years. In most visits, things have gone OK. But two times (3 years apart) I had them come out for dryer cleaning and both times they sent two different inexperienced teenagers who did not have a ladder that would reach a second story vent nor tools that could clean out the duct, despite both times assuring me they would have the right equipment over the phone after I described the location and height. Two times wasted their time and mine as a result. Additionally, for my most recent AC check up, they sent someone who left parts of my outside unit scattered on the ground. Complete inattention to detail, which was unsurprising when he instead spent time telling me how Ohio was too liberal. The company seems to hire either contractors or inexperienced people.

Brad is the man! Very personable and professional. Not only found the problem quickly but instructed me on how to maintain my system between services. I'll recommend Dormar not only for the service they provide, but because of techs like Brad and their arsenal of service technicians.
