This was a lovely tour showcasing what Austin has to offer with a tour guide who was enthusiastic about sharing the city highlights and stories. Get there early if you want to secure good seats at the top. Price guide (as of Sep 2025): $36.81 (Tour is about 1.5 hour)
The Double Decker tourist bus in Austin was a great experience. Our guide on the day (Phil) did an awesome job of explaining the history of Austin as well as some lesser known facts. Well worth the $. Highly recommend early on in your stay.
We really enjoyed this tour!. It was our first time visiting Austin, and we were able to see and explore the downtown area. The top deck provided awesome views and thankfully we felt a breeze - the weather was quite nice. The tour guide was knowledgeable and humorous. **Side note: It may be best to sit on the left side if you're on the top deck as there are less branches on the route. Trees are in full bloom, so just be mindful. 🤭 Guidance will be provided.
It's a must!! The only issue that I had was the guide wasn't loud enough especially when people are having side conversations. Also, you may want to stand on the sidewalk, where the bus picks you up, especially if you want a seat at the top. People were already lined up in a long line before the guide came inside to announce the tour.
Wonderful tour group! I went with a friend and had a great time - we were there during ACL, and there were tons of people and tailgaters to see. When my family visited we went again, and unfortunately hit traffic. We called and they immediately changed our reservation time to a later tour so that we wouldn't be rushed, at no charge! Very happy with the service both times, and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a nice little tour of Downtown Austin.
