"I had my 2010 Acura TSX towed here and unfortunately felt completely taken advantage of as a 'captive customer.' The shop charged me $690 to replace one ignition coil and 4 spark plugs. The major issue: those spark plugs were brand new, replaced only 5 months ago and LESS than 1000 miles (August 2025). I provided my previous invoice as proof, but the manager ignored my emails for three days. When I asked to see the 'old' parts they allegedly replaced, I was told they were 'already in the trash'. On top of that, they charged $287 for a single ignition coil (a 300% markup) and tried to push a 'Fuel Induction Service' that Acura explicitly recommends AGAINST for this specific engine. It seems their priority is upselling unnecessary services rather than honest maintenance. They have my money, but they have lost my trust. I am filing a formal complaint with the DC DLCP and disputing the charges with my bank. Avoid this shop if you want honest service and fair prices."

David Pham at DP auto is honest, competent, incredibly nice, etc. When I take my 2014 Mazda 3 to him I know the work will be done efficiently, accurately, and at a fair price. I found out about DP auto from listserv posts and since then I have recommended him to others who all agree DP auto is the best.

I have been going to DP for nearly 20 years (since when it first opened). Dave is all you would want from an auto mechanic -- thorough, skilled, fair, honest. He figures out exactly what needs repair, does it perfectly, charges a fair price and never, ever upsells. He has a line of repairs every morning because his loyal customer base all recognize the same thing. I will continue to go to him for all my auto needs.

Dave has assumed upkeep on our 2014 Prius ever since the warranty ran out in about 2019. I trust his assessments. He doesn’t tell us the car needs more than it does and he gets it done on time. Best of all, he’s in the neighborhood so I can bring my bike for getting home while the car is in his shop. Thank you Dave.

I am extremely impressed with David and the team at DP Auto! They were knowledgeable, friendly, and provided reliable and fast service. My car needed new tires and break work and I was delighted that my car was ready on time, as promised. After that, we took a trip and drove hundreds of miles. We were thankful to DP, because had they not delivered, we would not have been able to have such a great trip with our car! I highly recommend.
