Really solid Diner. What more could you want?
Hash browns were cooked perfectly, the best we’ve ever had. Decorated with lots of duck posters and figurines. Gravy needed more seasoning but overall everything was great.
Went here for breakfast last weekend with a friend, and it turned out pretty good overall. The place had a cozy feel and the staff were friendly and welcoming. I ordered the classic eggs, bacon, and pancakes combo — everything was cooked just right, though the pancakes were a bit thicker than I usually like. Coffee was hot and refilled often, which is always a plus. Prices were fair for what you get, and service was pretty quick even though it was busy. Wouldn’t mind coming back again to try their omelets next time.
First time here. Service was friendly, but food took longer to arrive than usual. Food was excellent. Omelette had plenty of meat and cheese, was cooked properly and served hot. Prices were fair. The place is old. 1940s kind of old. And not as clean as I would have liked. Counters, chairs and menus were “sticky” and worn. It was very Hot in there as well, almost too hot to tolerate, at least for me. Place smelled OK, but could do better in the customer experience department.
Im diabetic and i woke up hungry so i was excited when i found the duck nook not too far away from my house. My excitement quickly faded. I went with a friend and he qot the chicken fried steak that tasted pretty good but was so small that i should have known that something would be wrong with the 2 breakfast burrito meal that i ordered. Not only did it take 3 times as long to prepare as the chicken fried steak but when it showed up i was shocked to find out that the 2 burritos stated on the menu but was actually 1 (already small for the price) burrito cut in half! What the!!!!!!??????. I should have just gotten up and walked out without eating but im not that rude, i just ate my outrageously over priced breakfast and paid the bill and left. So even though there was a really cute girl working there i wont be going back to the duck nook. The burrito was actually almost the exact size of my phone (pixel 8) and then it was cut in half and called 2 burritos
