Friendly, quirky, and fun store. Found an entire working Singer sewing machine. Fair price and great service. Looking forward to restoring it and sharing progress.
I had to come leave a Google for Stephanie on how helpful she was! Customer service beyond my expectation. I simply called asking if there was something in stock because I would have had to plan to leave work to come there and check and really needed this item by tonight , not only did she take a second to go look while I was on the phone she went above and beyond and sent me pictures so I didn’t even have to leave work! I really appreciate this type of service and am definitely going to be visiting here to shop very soon!
What a quaint and lovely find in Plaza Midwood! I never walk out empty handed. Recently, we found this beautiful painting by G. Fobis that surely came home with us. Walking into this vintage shop feels like walking through a magical Time Machine.
This place is like dying and going to vintage heaven. The manager Stephanie runs it with love. She is ready to help answer questions. She is wonderful and the owners are lucky to have this beautiful lady! Time to talk about the treasures you may find here in this sweet vintage store. There are too many to count. Just drop everything, check the business hours & go! Plan to spend at least an hour here because you are not going to want to leave. I took plenty of videos and pics, but the one thing that stuck with me is that peaceful feeling I felt with not only the store but the people that were shopping. Vintage lovers seem to have some kind of old romantic Bohemian soul. Something that makes us want to seek the old, keep it close to our hearts. I didn’t catch the names of a few people that were sitting as I checked out but we had a conversation about my mom who would’ve absolutely loved this store but we lost her in January 2019 in Michigan to an aggressive cancer. In her honor, I found myself back in college to learn as much as possible to help change Public Health policy which changes health insurance coverage so we change the old system of waiting decades to translate medical discoveries to bring the treatments to patients that can’t wait. I don’t want others to lose exquisite human beings to that dreadful disease. The folks that were sitting as I was paying for my antiques, were so supportive of my cancer research that I left even more empowered to continue on my journey. Not only did I enjoy a store with vintage stuff; I left feeling appreciated. I am so glad to able to take a break from school and do this review! This was a magical experience!
I love this store!!! My kids and I were visiting from Raleigh and we all had a blast exploring the wealth of unique inventory. Amanda (I think that was the owner’s name) was so friendly and her prices are exceptionally reasonable. We purchased several items; and I wish we’d had time to return. Next time I’m in Charlotte this place will be my first stop!! PS: she also played great music.
