best pricing, affordable, friendly, quality and quick, easy to work with! They were suuuuper great - moved my senior mom's items from a 1 bedroom apartment on 2nd floor to a studio apartment (w/ elevator). We also had some furniture items (6 items, some large and heavy) that were moving down a floor (not to the new aparment) and they took care of those too. They were pretty quick and came in well under the estimate for price and time - the whole move took like 3 hours (was quoted 4 hours) from ballard to capitol hill. Nothing damaged. $406 total (that includes the washington state mandatory travel time charging), i tipped $100 because they were so great. The owner was great to work with, the movers were great to work with (Owen and . . . ?) and I would 100% use them again! Also, unlike another company they didn't try to upsell me on crazy insurance - they just have 2 options available that you can choose or not, and they're pretty affordable. also, they aren't a corporate monster (cough, cough Bonus: they take food donation items (in our case canned goods) to give to those in need - this is part of how i convinced my mom to get rid of her insane collection of unexpired canned goods that she will not eat. QUOTES FOR COMPARISON (note all places must bill for transit time, some places offer 2 types of insurance: minimal eg reimburse 39 cents per pound of damaged items or replacement value) - Affordable movers: 3-5 hours, $537-$895 - EcoMovers: Moving Labor (2 crew, 1 trucks) 5h at $159/hr total = $795. Also Insurance $188.90 for "full coverage" - They pushed the insurance pretty hard and stated they would not be responsible for any damage to items if not insured, even if it’s their fault eg drop items. They were coming from very nearby, so not a lot of travel time in the quote either. - MoverTron: 2 movers + 1 truck, $129hr cash / $139hr card, 3-hour minimum required, plus Truck Fee: $60 (one-time charge) Coming from further away (dammit, yelp), so more time for transit went into estimate: - Rainy day movers: Annoying response didn’t look at request at all, $150/hr + $20/hr if paying by card, $540-900 - coming to/from Kirkland, 4h = $700 - Gentle Giant - $867.50 to $1,013.00 - coming from Tukwila (far)
