Love going to pick up food at Eatzi’s before driving to Longview to visit my 99 year old Aunt. She loves the pasta salad and chicken salad. My complaint has to do with the loud music. So loud we were unable to communicate with the staff. The woman that checked us out asked me a question that I could not hear well. My answer was wrong and I ended up three hours away with only half of my food. I told the cashier I would mention the loud music in my review bc as she stated the owner insists on the volume that high. Wasn’t going to bother with the review until I realized the loud music caused me to not have half the lunch I planned for my Aunt until I arrived at my destination. I had to run to the local grocer for bagged salad and pasta salad. At least the rest of my order $130 worth of crab cakes made it. Turn the damn music down.

Eatzi's Market & Bakery offers a mixed bag of experiences. When it's good, it's great - the food can be delicious, and some of the staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. However, consistency is an issue. There are times when the staff seem lazy or irritable, and the food quality can vary drastically, from excellent to inedible. Every visit feels like taking a chance on whether it will be a pleasant experience or a disappointing one. If they could maintain a steady level of quality and service, it would be an easy 5-star spot last but not least the ambiance is quality.

Friendly, accommodating staff plus a wide selection of tasty cuisine makes this Eatzi's a top choice. Alex showed great patience in crafting our roast beef sandwich. He surprised us with his expertise pairing the right breads with the variety of meats. Who knew. Also, a few feet away when we asked for "the crispiest bacon, we got it -- and was it tasty! It may not be appetizing in the photo, but you have to try it to enjoy it. This was a Saturday morning visit, so the bacon may not always be available.

The shrimp ( 14.00 for 3) and oblivion cake were great and the cinnamon bun too. The mashed potatoes and zucchini mix was good too but there was a seasoning in the fried chicken that I didn’t care for. The sliced sour dough bread was a little dry but all in all it was a good assortment. Friendly staff but the prices on some items were not marked and employees did not know the cost either. Example jellies.
