Come for the view and stay for the food! The riverboat is one of the best ways to experience the North Saskatchewan River. The boat lets you see the river from a perspective that you can only get from being on the water. You can see the foliage of the river valley, the view is spectacular in the Fall, and the lights of Edmonton's skyline. Sightseeing isn't the only thing that you can do while you are on the ship. The ship offers a ticket that gives you access to a buffet. The buffet is relatively small, there are just 2 proteins plus chicken fingers for kids. On the day I went, the proteins were barbequed chicken and a roast beef. The chicken was quite well prepared. The beef was typical buffet beef, so it was passable but a bit dry. There was an adequate selection of vegetables, both roasted veggies and fresh salads. Bread and a pasta dish made up the carb section of the buffet. The food overall was good for a buffet. The dessert section was very small but it did include some fresh fruit. If you are lucky, then the dessert section will have pie on offer. Their pies are quite delectable.

If you're considering this restaurant as a place for an important dinner, it's perfectly suitable. It's perfect for a couple or a group. Taking good photos is unlikely, as there are too many people there, and suitable locations are limited. Dinner: buffet, meat, vegetables, dessert, coffee, and tea. Alcohol and drinks are extra. A ticket, including taxes, costs approximately 90 CAD. The boarding line is about 30 minutes. Overall, it's definitely worth a visit.

What a unique experience! We celebrated my in-laws 50th wedding anniversary with 14 of us and we had a blast! We chose the perfect day in August with glorious weather. Highly recommend for anyone living in Edmonton, or to take visitors from out of town. We had the Buffet dinner and did the river float. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

First time on the Edmonton Riverboat. We did the buffet cruise for date night. The meal was great, atmosphere was fantastic, staff attentive and cruising the river was amazing. Will definitely do it again 😊

We booked the Edmonton river boat as our wedding venue and could not have been happier with how everything went! Eric, Lisa and all the staff on the river boat were very helpful and did a great job making sure everything went perfect. They organised the seats on the top for our ceremony so the city was in the background for us, as well as make the downstairs work for our seating plan. They helped us pick the food for the buffet dinner, and everyone of our guests told us how good the food was after. After dinner we did the cruise up river past Walter dale bridge, this was perfect as my family is from out of town and it was a great way to see how nice the river valley is. Eric also recommended a great DJ with happy life entertainment who helped us with all our announcements and was great at picking music for the cruise as well as keeping people on the dance floor. Many of our guest told us it was one of the coolest weddings they had ever been too. I would definitely recommend the river boat for an event like this. Thanks for a great night!
