Beautiful Edwardian tearoom, with a nice bustling full of energetic activity. We did not have any thing to eat, just ordered two coffees. Plenty of seating which were spacious not all cramped together. Would visit again when in the area.

Very disappointed, nothing like we remember. Menu sparse and expensive (£12.95 for a fishfinger sandwich!), we had teacakes which felt stale, hot chocolate was just warm milk and was entirely undrinkable. The tea was nice enough but not worth returning for. Staff seemed friendly but were mostly milling around looking bored, the menu could probably be cheaper if they didnt need so many staff behind the counter! (4 on a sunday!) Definitely wont be coming back, shame because we used to spend a lot of time here. Id have left one star but the friendly staff and clean tables did redeem it slightly, and I am sure for some the menu is worth the cost

We stopped by for some tea and scones and they were very good. It was quite affordable and we enjoyed the environment of the Museum.

We visited the tea room yesterday and ordered sandwiches. The fillings were fine but the bread?!!! It was a very thick brioche bread which was not in the description of the sandwich and far too thick and sweet for a savoury sandwich.. we left most of it and looking around most other customers did too!! A lesson to be learnt!

A delicious Eggs Benedict for breakfast - faultless. Also quality tea. Beautiful space to enjoy.
