Excellent food! Eight Sushi Lounge is a solid spot for a fun, upscale sushi night in Atlanta. You can’t go wrong with sushi, rolls, or the ramen! The ramen isn’t as salty as many others I’ve tried, which I actually appreciated. It tastes like they’re using a house-made broth rather than the typical pre-packaged base.
Overall, the quality of the food was solid. The fish was fresh, though slightly thinner than expected. The ambiance was pleasant, albeit somewhat crowded. The foie gras nigiri was the highlight of the meal.
I came here with a group of women on a Saturday around 6:45 PM. We didn’t have reservations, and it was pretty crowded, so we ended up sitting at the bar. The bartenders were great—really helpful and attentive when it came to answering our questions about the food and drinks. I ordered a Lychee Martini, which was delicious. For food, I got the vegetable spring rolls as an appetizer and the King’s Roll sushi. The roll itself was good, but I do wish it came with soy sauce automatically. Even though it had spicy mayo, it felt a bit dry without the soy sauce. I asked the bartender for some, and they brought it right over. The dress code confused me a bit. Online and over the phone, they said “business casual,” but once we got there, most people were dressed pretty casually—think sneakers, jeans, and simple outfits. Just a heads-up if you’re planning a visit. I liked the ambiance; it’s dim without being too dark, giving it a nice vibe. Overall, I’d recommend this spot if you’re looking for a more upscale sushi experience. Just note that it’s on the pricier side, with my roll costing $22.
4.5/5. First visit & very impressed This was my first time dining at Eight Sushi Lounge and I was genuinely impressed. The environment, innovation, and quality all stand out in a big way. Service lagged a bit, and I do think truffle is slightly overplayed on a few dishes + across the menu, but overall the experience was fantastic - I’ll definitely be back! There’s also a separate moody lounge to the left when you walk in, perfect for cocktails before or after dinner. Loved that touch. Standouts • Kampachi Serrano – Super fresh and unique. Baby yellowtail with cilantro and a ponzu slushy… such a fun, bright bite & idea • Tuna Crisp – A must. Slivers of tuna on a crisp with just the right amount of truffle oil… and I’m usually not a truffle girl • Eggs Benedict – Slide it down the hatch for an instant punch of flavor. Absolutely loved this one • Orange Is the New Black – Simple salmon in cilantro oil. Clean, fresh, fantastic • Rolls & Nigiri Tasting – No clue everything I tried because it was a large tasting, but everything was excellent. The walu nigiri was my favorite. • Miso Seabass – Always a home run, but I appreciate that it actually comes with sides (veggies + grilled rice patty) instead of being served solo like other sushi spots for the same ~$40 price • Miso Steak – Tender, flavorful The “Still Good” List • Monroe Tuna – Their take on crispy rice with spicy tuna. Delicious, but the truffle wasn’t necessary; I would’ve preferred to taste more of the tuna. I still prefer Umi or Houston’s version. • Green Bean Fries – Tempura green beans, fun to share. I do wish the menu offered healthier/lighter options for a sharable snack mid meal… like charred shishito peppers, eggplant or Japanese sweet potatoes, or even pickles veggie board • Gyoza – Solid. • Chicken Teriyaki – Juicy and flavorful, good for non-sushi eaters. Overall, Eight Sushi Lounge brings creativity, freshness, and a great vibe! I’ll absolutely be back.
I have only been here once so far, but this place was phenomenal. Every single thing we tried was amazing and service was great. If my wallet and distance to get there were different then I would go as often as possible and try every single thing on the menu, but such is life. Highly recommend this place, I’m excited to go back when I get the chance to!
