Take the chance! Definitely a shop chill enough to drop by and discuss an idea. My husband and I recently moved and finally checked out a local studio - after being hesitant going anywhere besides our normal hometown shops - this place completely passes the vibe check. We chatted with Chris & Chuck about both our tattoo plans and then booked for later the same week. Both tattoos came out exactly (if not better) than expected which is always the best feeling when getting tattooed. Pricing is responsible for the area. The shop is clean and you can tell the artists take pride in their craft.

I followed an artist to this location (Martin) and I have to say I like this shop way more than the rest. It has to open floor concept with art everywhere. Not only is Martin the shit but all of the other guys in the shop put out some cool pieces as well. I love the atmosphere and the people that work here are the bees knees.

Steve!!! The best!! Was so happy with my whole experience from the moment that I walked in the door. I am visiting from Dallas for the jazz festival with my sister and had 2 autographs that needed to be there permanently. Steve did it for me to perfection!! Thank you so much!!

My best friend and I visited this shop recently, and it was such a great experience—especially since it was her very first tattoo! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was clean, welcoming, and comfortable. Parking was easy, which was a nice bonus. The staff were incredible—kind, patient, professional, and seriously talented. Chris and Charlie were amazing to work with. They immediately put us at ease, answered all our questions, and worked closely with us to bring our tattoo ideas to life. Chris, in particular, elevated my design and made it come to life even better than I had originally imagined. The prices were also very fair for the quality of work and service we received. We left with tattoos we absolutely love and memories of an amazing day. We’ll definitely be back in the future and highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for quality work in a friendly, stress-free environment.

Martin is an amazing artist and just did a hell of a tattoo. This is my second one from Martin, and couldn’t be happier. The first one he did was a portrait of my Yorkie shortly after he passed and now my newest one. I highly recommend Electro Magnetic to anyone looking for a professional, clean, and comfortable shop…the best in Hampton Roads!
