We cannot begin to express how much we enjoyed working with a Southern Soirée! Elizabeth and her team hosted a wedding at our venue last month, and to say it was a success would be an understatement. Her team and eye for design worked wonderfully in our space and elevated it to a never-before-seen level. The best decision we ever made for our wedding was hiring Elizabeth and the amazing Southern Soiree team. If I could, I would give more than 5 stars!! My husband and I re-met across the country in Washington State. Although we were stationed for the military in WA, we dreamed of having our wedding in Hillsborough, NC, our hometown where we first met. Planning a long distance wedding with a 3 hour time difference would have not been possible without Elizabeth. She happily arranged and attended venue tours & vendor design meetings on our behalf when we could not be present. When we were in town, she was available to all our needs and pre-planned an efficient schedule for us to fit in the most planning activities in a short amount of time. Additionally, when thinking of our dream wedding, we imagined the day being very personalized to our love story. After sharing our story with Elizabeth, she immediately came up with a design board filled with creative and one-of-a-kind ways to honor our story into our big day. The inside of our venue, the Carolina Grove, was brought to life with lush greenery and neutral florals to mimic the outdoors. The high beams of the inside of the venue were decorated with string lighting to create the illusion of stars over the dance floor. Our table numbers were our personal photos from our many beautiful hikes & the escort cards were each a trail marker that matched each hike. Elizabeth even picked up Krispy Kreme donut holes the day of the wedding for our dessert flambé bar! If there were any hiccups on the day of the wedding, I never knew about it. Elizabeth and Lacey, our day of assistant, made sure everything went smoothly and we were never stressed or worried about complications. To this day, my dad still talks about how Elizabeth brought him a portable fan during the 85 degree heat on our August wedding day. More than anything, during this process, Elizabeth became a friend- she is the kindest, most caring, thoughtful, and genuine human. Everyone needs an Elizabeth during the wedding process - she is incredible at her job. She was our biggest advocate & cheerleader! She celebrated us every chance possible. On the Christmas before our wedding, she sent treats for us and our pups to celebrate the upcoming wedding year. On our wedding day, she sent me Starbucks, and gave me the best pep talk before going down the aisle. Most of all, when I saw everything come together at the grand reveal on wedding day, I couldn’t help but cry happy tears in pure gratitude for all the heart and soul she poured into making our special day a perfect dream. I can't say enough good things about working with A Southern Soiree and I would HIGHLY recommend them to any bride! When I began my wedding journey, I knew I wanted a big, classy wedding but I also wanted it to be unique and not cookie cutter. I was among the post-COVID wedding boom, which made me feel like I was scrambling from day 1 to get the vendors I wanted. As soon as I secured the Umstead venue, I was introduced to Elizabeth through A Southern Soiree and it was smooth sailing after that. Not only did Elizabeth pull off every organization detail, but the work she did on our design is something I will cherish for the rest of my life! I came to her with vague ideas of the kind of feeling I wanted to evoke, but I was indecisive on virtually every detail. She took those wishes and turned them into the most amazing, colorful, unique, gorgeous wedding I could have ever dreamed of! She was wonderful at making sure the design was cohesive in every space, brought new ideas to the table I hadn't even thought of, and kept us on time through the whole process. Elizabeth was so friendly and fun to work with. As I got to know more of the Southern Soiree team, I felt like they were just as wonderful. Working with this company was SO great, I honestly wish I could do it all over again just to have the chance to work with such talented women. Every guest at our wedding kept raving about how wonderful the event was and how they had never been to a wedding as well put together as ours! Your big day is one of the most important days of your life. If you choose to work with A Southern Soiree, it will be the best wedding decision you make!
Alyssa from A Southern Soiree was our planner for our wedding at the Umstead in June of 2022. She and her team were amazing. They went above and beyond. They were very helpful with managing our vendors. She was very experienced and knowledgeable. They took care of everything.
Megan and the team at Southern Soirée epitomize professionalism. It was a joy to serve alongside of them for a spring wedding at The Merrimon-Wynne House. From the very beginning of the planning process through until after the wedding, the bride and groom spoke so highly of Megan and Gina. As a photographer, it is so refreshing to work with a planner like Southern Soirée who makes their client the priority. Prior to the wedding, they were hands on with providing information to vendors and made sure we were all on the same page. This made a huge difference in the success of the vendor team on the day of the wedding. We were all able to focus on serving the couple and making their day special. Gina handled the wedding day with grace and even made sure the couple had a moment alone to eat before being introduced to the reception. I highly recommend A Southern Soirée, they’re simply so wonderful!
