We arrived and were warmly greeted. Water already on the table and coffee was offered immediately. All staff were extremely friendly and fast. The 2 breakfast meals from the summer menu (pictured) we ordered were fabulous: potato hash with poached eggs and smoked salmon and the mango French toast with cheesecake whip and mango sorbet. The menu was definitely creative and delicious. Highly recommended.

Restaurant was fully packed but staff were absolute pros at dealing with all that volume. Their friendliness and professionalism did not waver. There’s a reason Elk has consistently been the go-to cafe in Broadbeach for a decade. Food and drinks were all great. I’d come back here again, again and again. Was a big fan of their sister restaurant, “Sparrow Eating House” and still looking forward to some kind of comeback.

Great location right across the road from the beach. The service was fast & efficient, as a Melbournian - can state that the coffee was good. We both had poached eggs on toast with avocado, the eggs were overcooked & the sourdough was rock hard (bring a chainsaw) to cut through - sourdough should be buttered straight out of the toaster to keep its softness (with real 100% butter) not this fake stuff. We had to construct on own meals before eating them which isn’t ideal either - meals were dry! If we went back, we definitely would NOT order hard cold sourdough 😔

Wonderful experience!! We were greeted friendly by staff and only had to wait a couple of minutes to be seated despite having 6 people. All the staff were really kind and friendly and the atmosphere of the restaurant was very warm overall. Our drinks arrived swiftly followed shortly by our food. All the food had good portions and tasted extremely fresh. The staff did a great job telling us the different dietary options for those of us that have different food allergies. There was one dish that arrived later but the staff were extremely apologetic and even offered us a free drink and ended up giving us the dish for free. This honestly was the reason for the good review as the communication was top notch and the staff were lovely! 10/10 experience, would highly recommend.

We did a bit of research on cafes in Broadbeach and this one kept popping up as highly recommended. If you can't get basic toast and eggs right, then there's an issue. The bread was rock like ice and the butter had fully melted to the point there was only a little residue left. Eggs were very runny too even though we asked for poached. I did give feedback to the staff and the girl who served me to her credit was extremely apologetic and offered a free coffee or for them to remake it for us to take away (we declined but appreciate her proactive offer). My oats whilst not too bad was just full of Papaya and when I asked for a little more yoghurt to offset the taste - I was told I would have to pay additional for yoghurt which is supposed to come with the dish. If it helps coffee was nice. Again, the girl who served me at the pay counter on 23/10 AM really did demonstrate customer focus on it. Very disappointing experience though overall. :(
