I highly recommend Rachel and her team. They’ve done work for me multiple times, and every single experience has been excellent. They are professional, thorough, and truly know what they’re doing. I’ve seen a few one-star reviews, and from my experience, those don’t reflect their work at all. Tax preparers and CPAs can’t work based on assumptions — they need full and accurate information from the client. I went through that learning curve myself, and once everything was clearly provided, their work was spot on. If you’re a business owner looking for a reliable tax team, I’d absolutely say give them a chance.

I would be careful giving this company any of your money. They met with me, set me up on one of their plans, set up my LLC S-Corp, set up my payroll and provided me with quarterly tax estimates. The bad is that I had 4 tax advisors in my year there. Also, this year I received notice from my state that 2 quarters of wage reports weren’t filed for 2024 which hit me with penalties and threats of liens against my personal property if I didn’t pay. I also got a notice from my state that my income taxes were paid late giving me another penalty. When I brought this up, instead of taking responsibility and reimbursing me $300…that’s the total in penalties…$300…they chose to gaslight me, make me feel like it was my fault and then drop me as a client because the services I was getting were apparently not in the original agreement…even though they set everything up and processed it all for a year. There only response was that I’ve been getting an 50% discount for a year…which doesn’t make it right. They still did all of these services. All they had to do was admit a mistake and reimburse me which is good customer service. Instead they treated me like utter garbage. There are so many other tax advisors out there. Any would be better than this place. I had the worst experience and would never recommend this place to anyone. Run away.

I've worked with Empire for the last 5 years on my personal taxes, although their specialty is really in small business support. The business owner (Rachel) recently offered me a free tax strategy session and it was incredibly helpful to understand the differences in potential tax deductions for income on a W2 vs. 1099. Highly recommend Empire - especially for small business owners.
