Where Italian hospitality meets Adelaide charm... Enoteca e Cucina completely exceeded our expectations. We wandered in without a booking and were still welcomed in straight away, which already set the tone for the night. The atmosphere was cosy and intimate, tucked away on a lovely street that gives the place a charming, almost European feel. The service was exceptional from start to finish. Every staff member was friendly and attentive, and the owner himself came over to introduce himself and check in on us - a really thoughtful touch that made the experience feel personal. The highlight of the night, though, was dessert. I spotted my favourite cheese on the menu one that’s notoriously difficult to find in Australia - and couldn’t believe my luck. After chatting with the owner to confirm its authenticity, it arrived beautifully presented, generously portioned, and paired perfectly with two glasses of red wine. Absolute heaven. Price-wise, everything was very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food, service, and experience. We left feeling genuinely delighted, and we’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend
Not the greatest experience at Enoteca! I don’t usually write reviews, but after being offered still or sparkling water at the beginning for the table, we asked for still, thinking it was standard free table water. They also asked us if we wanted some bread. We assumed the bread — and at least the water — was complimentary. When it came time to pay and we got home, we realised we had paid about $17 more than we should have. After following up, we were informed the bread was $3.50 per person. There were two of us, and the water was $10.50! We understand paying for the bread, but paying $10.50 for still water is crazy, especially when we were not told it would cost extra. I believe if being offered table water transparency should be clear regarding cost. Even if cost is written in menu when offering it before giving us a chance to read the menu most would assume it’s complementary. No? I would love to hear other people’s opinions on this. When you are offered sparkling or still water for the table, is it usually free? That has always been my experience, and I thought it was assumed that table water is complimentary. We had the chicken and potatoes and enjoyed the chicken. The customer service depended on which staff member you were served by. The lady who welcomed us to the table didn’t seem very enthusiastic.
Nice vibe in the restaurant, classy. Good service. Mixed on the food. The polpo was perfectly cooked and delicious, the salmon was ok but the fennel tasteless and watery, the lamb was dry with a sauce nothing but sweet, and the pappardelle too al dente with very little garniture compared to other pictures that I’ve seen in the reviews. Overpriced and disappointed. Sorry 😢
First time at Enoteca. Absolutely amazing. Plush red comfy seating. Great atmosphere. Staff so attentive and food so delicious. It was our wedding anniversary and we were really looked after. The chef wrote Happy Anniversary in caramel sauce on our scrumptious dessert plate. Will return for sure.
The service and food went well beyond our expectations. Even though the restaurant was packed, with tables filled right out to the street, the staff were incredibly attentive. From the moment we ordered, both entrées and mains arrived promptly and flawlessly. The house-baked sourdough was absolutely addictive, and the prices were surprisingly reasonable compared to Sydney and Brisbane.
