Bit disappointing! We tried the Jester room - upon entry it was immediately clear that this room was unfinished and a bit run down. Bare stud wall, paint chipping, just generally lacking in attention to detail. There is no timer in the room so…. Good luck I guess. The puzzles were ok, but at times we were hindered by the fact that the equipment is not very functional A very weak black light ‘reveals’ a puzzle that is extremely hard to make out. The light itself is just barely standing as the legs are balancing on uneven ground. The connect 4 pieces, when unlocked, did not all fall correctly. Some pieces had the clue missing. A lot of elements were essentially guesswork, which is a bit unsatisfying! The most aggravating part was an ‘operation’ game. It was pretty impossible to hit all the buttons - understandable that hitting the metal sides will cause you to fail. But we had completed it several times, and either faulty mechanisms or lack of supervision meant that we were stuck on it for ages and couldn’t move on. We were later told that we could have used a wooden stick….. which wasn’t there. Perhaps we should have had the foresight to bring one. The biggest issue was supervision. We were clearly not being watched or listened to. Upon arrival and exit, we saw no other teams, so it couldn’t have been so busy that it was impossible to keep an eye on us. Clues from staff were confusing as they often did not apply to our situation, almost as if no one was paying attention to us. None of this would really matter if you couldn’t care less about the experience and just want to give your kids something to do for an hour. If you’re a group of adults looking for a good escape room, that is challenging enough to keep you interested, and functional enough to make you feel as though thought was put in to it, look elsewhere!

Was great craic. Love the theme. Loved getting to dress up a bit. Staff very friendly and helpful. Was a bit nervous but I was reassured. Highly recommend it! For all ages!.

We visited Escapade HQ with 59 P7s after their SEAG exams, on the 22nd of November, the staff team delivered an exceptional experience. Managing such a large group is no small feat, yet the staff were calm, welcoming, and brilliantly organised throughout. The activities were engaging, inclusive, and perfectly pitched for the age group. The children worked together, laughed together, and enjoyed every second. Watching them share such a positive moment after months of hard work meant the world to us. Thank you to Tony and the Escapade HQ team for creating an afternoon of pure fun and fantastic teamwork. We’re so grateful and we’ll be back!

This escape room experience was the best experience I have ever had, not because the room was so well designed and extremely challenging or the fact they had 10 other rooms to try out or the fact we had the funniest experience of our lives. This was the best experience because of Tony. Words can not describe how great he made the whole experience. I would move my entire family into each room so we can spend more time with that man. You have to visit and ask for Tony, side note he makes a smashing flat white in Starbucks if you ask nicely.

First time ever doing an escape room, was alot of fun, big thanks to Dean and Josh for when we needed the help. The Magic Emporium is definitely a good choice for any Harry Potter fans. Will definitely be back to try one of the other rooms.
