This is not a true escapology location. It's inside a bowling alley/arcade. You're not getting the typically escapology quality here. Room decoration was amateurish and the prop quality was bad. In the middle of our time, one of the managers from the bowling alley came into the room to ask us if we were enjoying it. What? It was almost creepy. Escapology needs to take their name off of this.
Myself & my daughter booked 3 rooms in a row. We are enthusiasts for escape rooms (79 so far) Drove 1.5 hours. Then came the disappointment. Rooms not maintained, Alexis our game master was anything less than enthusiastic, being her last day on the job she definitely made it feel like she didn't care to be at work. She was also training a new person who obviously was nervous. Instead of being supportive to the trainee she rolled her eyes and laughed while the trainee tried to get through the intro. There was a clue left on the white board, game master (Alexis) had to come into the room becuase there were vials we needed for the game (saying "I DONT KNOW WHY THEY CHANGED THIS, BUT ITS MY LAST DAY AND I DONT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT IT". Alexis attitude and demeanor was horrible, good thing it was her last day, wouldn't want anyone else to have to experience an employee like that. This was not what I expected from Ecapology company, being as we just were in pigeon forge and had an absolutely wonderful time with that location and staff. The manager Liv heard our concerns and was professional, apologetic and heart felt about the things we experienced and yes offered some arcade time, but after all that and having to drive back and hour and a half home we were done with the experience. If a company like escapology is going to put their name on something and put a shirt on someone's back to represent their company they should be showing more care for the experience and guest. Escapology huntsville shows poor quality and though they say they have more locations then other escape rooms that isn't something to brag about when your other locations are not maintained & cared for. They didn't have merchandise we could purchase.
I'm an escape room veteran and I was really excited to take my partner to his first escape room experience for our anniversary. Unfortunately this one was quite disappointing. The props were very well used (torn & falling apart). The room was not reset correctly before we entered. One of the keys to one of the locks was not even in the room. We were told not to touch or mess with anything that had a red dot so we didn't open a suitcase vital to the escape because it was marked with a red dot. There was a whiteboard in the second room that had not been erased that had clue answers on it from the previous group. If it isn't obvious yet: we did not escape. I gave 2 stars rather than 1 because the manager was very sweet and tried her best to compensate us for the bad experience. We had reserved online so we could not get a refund, but she gave us the equivalent in arcade cards and included a free "date night" round of bowling. Unfortunately at that point we were frustrated and just wanted to leave. It was a Saturday night and the place was PACKED.
Our host wasn’t great. Gave very crappy hints, didn’t respond in a timely manner, things of that nature. When we made it to the third room of antidote, noticed a container with a 4 digit code on it.. it was something that didn’t get put back and was the answer to get out so we almost lost because we were confused. We got out with 11 minutes to spare, cool right. Normally after escape rooms, the GM will come meet you and talk after, regular hospitality, offer a photo with the prop. We waited in the waiting area until someone passed through, acted like we bothered him for kinda asking, “is that all?” And told us to take a bracelet. We left kinda disappointed. Low quality room and mediocre service. The best part is we escaped, but I guess our time wasn’t stopped so I got an email saying, “sorry you didn’t make it.” lol. Won’t be back but the bowling alley is pretty cool!
Great biginner puzzles. A lot of the props were warn a bit more than I would like. But most everything worked. We did two of the three rooms and they both had puzzle ideas that were new to us. Great all around. Looking forward to doing the third one some time.
