First timers (parents, 11 & 17 yr old boys) were a little confused on how to start in Room 221B (challenge level 3.5). The staff were incredibly kind and helpful - not giving away too much, and then guiding us when we got stuck again. We escaped with about 5 minutes left and now have a much better idea of how escape rooms work. Thanks to the staff for supporting us to make sure we had a positive experience!

Our family has a tradition of doing an escape room the day after Christmas every year, and we’ve kept it going for the last 10 years. This year we chose Escape Lincoln in the Haymarket and took on the “Be Kind, Please Rewind” room. We had a genuinely fun time—the puzzles were challenging, and there were several moments that kept us thinking and moving. Out of the ten rooms we’ve done over the years, I’d put this one somewhere in the middle of the pack. The room itself could use a little tightening up, as some elements felt a bit aged, but it didn’t take away from the overall experience. The only real disappointment came at the end. We entered the correct final code (which the staff later confirmed), but the applause that was supposed to signal our success never triggered. It made it feel like we hadn’t actually completed the room, even though we had. The staff member we spoke with was kind and handled it well, but it’s definitely something the owner should look into so future groups get the full finale. Overall, we still enjoyed the experience and hope the ending effect gets fixed so others can enjoy the complete moment we missed.

I have attended numerous escape rooms and have loved every one of them. The themes were really fun and allowed my friends/family and I to solve new puzzles over the years. Would recommend!

We did the “Be Kind, Please Rewind” room and had a great time overall. The puzzles were fun and the theme was solid. The experience, however, was dampened at the very end. We entered the correct passcode for the final puzzle (which the staff later confirmed), but the suitcase didn’t open. When we brought this up, the staff felt dismissive and didn’t seem concerned that the equipment might have been faulty. A bit of acknowledgment or an attempt to troubleshoot the suitcase would have gone a long way.

We were there on Friday 8/15 and had a great time and even managed to escape! All of the themes are entertaining and well thought out and it was the perfect amount of fun and difficult. Our host, Kierra was friendly, welcoming and helped make the experience even better. We will definitely be back 😊
